If you were really interested then you'd look at the leaflet as it's linked to in the OP. There is no mention of tranny or troon on it so no need for the smelling salts

What does this even mean anyway? If we're using "POW" as an example it just appears to means "let gender critical people talk shit about trans people". Right?

Some may also seem rather dismissive when transphobic hate and slurs are used. If a political candidate went online and used, for a hypothetical example, a homophobic slur or the N slur against black people, almost everyone would be in agreement they should not be a political candidate and should be investigated by police.

I haven't seen the leaflets so haven't taken part in that discussion. Did they have the slur "tr--n" or something like that on them? Did they use the word "tranny"? Was there a hint or implication on there that trans people are "only trans for perverse/sexual reasons"? I see the sort of things some people with gender critical beliefs sometimes say and some of it can come across a certain way and be seen as offensive.

I can't imagine how people who are actually trans or have trans family or friends may feel when this crap goes through their letterbox.

I don't like the term "abuse" and especially not "profound abuse" because that implies an active choice on the part of the parents.

I think transition can be damaging; equally I think there is not enough research to know if social transition is an appropriate treatment for some children.

I think parents with gender distressed children must be having a very hard time and I'd prefer not to throw around terms like "abuse" when I know nothing about them or their circumstances.
