Talk of KS and his possible clothing preferences reminds me of one of my favourite CJ Cregg quotes on The West Wing:

Yes, a very good point. It’s quite sinister how these news organisations can be so misleading. Why would they not use that part of the quote? Could it be because they know damn well it makes Tennant look bad?

The night before (June 25), Tennant was present at the British LGBT Awards to accept the LGBT+ Celebrity Ally award. During his speech, he addressed Badenoch, saying: “I don’t wish ill of her, I just wish her to shut up.”

I was interested to see this ‘economical’ version of the quote - leaving out what David Tennant had said first:

'until we wake up and Kemi Badenoch doesn't exist anymore.'

Yes, it is funny. It's a perfect example of what happens when you force yourself to say something you know is a lie. Starmer knows he's talking crap but he's now fully committed to it, unfortunately.

Meanwhile the NME reports on JK Rowling saying Tennant is part of the Gender Taliban. They have made an embarrassing fail, linking in the singer Billy Bragg but it’s a case of mistaken identity! They’ll probably correct it soon. And of course they call JK anti-trans. 🙄

Yes, it's the same sort of conversion therapy lesbians have been subjected to in many places and at many times, with the added twist of these particular heterosexual men's fetishes.

I think that DT is in for a shock. We now have three cases of nurses taking their NHS trusts to a tribunal for failing to provide single sex changing rooms for female staffs. This is bound to make more and more people aware of the problem.

Does DT want the nurses to disappear, I wonder?

It also requires that those homosexual people who are female learn to tolerate unwanted straight sex in order to provide men who wish to identify as women with.... well. Basically unpaid sex work. Those not up for this are shamed, excluded and threatened, so it's 'do straight sex or else'.

But that's apparently an okay form of conversion therapy because being done by the righteous, and she's a cow who won't see that bloke as a woman so she deserves it.

The most interesting thing about this is that Tennant clearly believes most people think like him. He no doubt thinks that calling sex-realists "whingeing fuckers" and telling Kemi Badenoch to shut up is not unlike being rude about Reform or Nigel Farage. I imagine he's been taken aback by the reaction. He probably spends so much time with others in the entertainment industry who think exactly the same as him that he has no idea that the vast majority of the population disagree with him.

The outrageous thing - well, one of many - is that "transing" is the conversion therapy. It's telling homosexual people that they are in fact heterosexual, and that their bodies have to be corrected so their sexual orientation is acceptable. And it's a feature, not a bug, that that "therapy" happens to involve surgical butchery that can leave them without any sexual function, and hormonal interference that undermines their entire health.
