Cow rammed by police www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/5097630-cow-rammed-by-police

Do you think this cow could be female given its treatment by Sorry Police?

Someone named for cat food, perhaps? Are they saying, "we just don't know whether this constituted animal cruelty"?

Perhaps “we just don’t know” if the calf - it was only a baby! - was in fact a criminal mastermind, top of the FBI & Interpol Most Wanted Lists, & armed to the very teeth…

Was on the chat board posting about this. You'll no doubt be surprised to hear some defending the polices actions 🙄

I cannot bear to watch the clip so I absolutely cannot pass judgement in any direction but will just say that a cow got loose from the mart here last year and a man was killed. It was absolutely awful for all involved. So they might have new guidelines? But still, won't watch because I can't see an animal being harmed like that so no judgement either way just thought I would add the information.

Absolutely there must be charges laid. There was no acceptable reason for this.

PriOn1 · 15/06/2024 20:24

It was horrendous. I don’t understand how anyone could think it was okay. Perhaps, if it was heading up a slipway onto the M25, where it would probably cause a massive pile up, it would be justifiable, but I felt sick watching it.

There would be vets on call and probably willing farmers who would come and help. Unless there was a clear danger to the public, they should have tried to get it somewhere safe until they could get more assistance.

I’ve also heard varying stories of the aftermath, one saying it was just cut and bruised, the other that it was dead. It would be remarkable if it hadn’t got a broken leg or serious internal injuries.

I'm sorry it came across as flippant. There's a reason I posted it in this board

Yes I understood why you posted it here.

lonelywater · 15/06/2024 19:44

if what I saw on YouTube is accurate then some P45's should be in the offing. Had the clip been captioned "heartless evil thugs hurt animal" you would not have demurred, but the Babylon? WTF were they thinking?

Tallisker · 15/06/2024 19:09

It's a disgusting act of violence against an animal. I'm not being flippant. Surrey Police have form for treating women badly and now we have proof that they treat animals badly. There's something very rotten in that police force.

I think that's a horribly flippant comment to make in the face of disgusting animal cruelty.
