What is your definition of TRA?

Just curious, I am have always read this as someone who is an activist for trans right, but I feel like it is sometimes used on here for anyone who isn't fully GC. What do you mean when you say it?

But yeah Trans Rights Activists! They aren't the people who sleepwalked into be kind they are the "but they just want to pee" brigade and the ones screaming "fuck you" to women attending a conference.

Anyone who tries to persuade me its perfectly fine for a man to be a woman and a woman to be a man and that suddenly on saying the four magic words "I am a man" or "I am a woman" that person becomes all sweetness and light and means no harm to anyone, they just want to pee. Even if prior to saying. "I am a woman and my name is Isla" they were a multiple rapist who also watched teenaged girls get undressed.

Yup, to me has to be an activist or someone kind of pushing about it.

Not just someone who believes in some level of gender ideology.

I'd generally use it to describe a very zealous person who has adopted "trans rights" as their pet cause, above and beyond any other social justice cause they may have adopted. Usually very active on Twitter. Either cheering on their more violent allies or being mealy-mouthed about condemning them. Frequently happy to ostracise or cause (social, emotional, physical) harm to anyone they perceive as a heretic or an infidel.

I wouldn't use the term to refer to Charley in the office who thinks JKR is a little bit mean, or Rob at the nerdy hobby group who has trans friends but doesn't get too involved with the activism side of things.
