Kellie Jay video discussing the current Hayton kerfuffle:

I didn’t know that Helen Joyce dismissed her concerns about DH. HJ, who I have so much respect for, has gone down in my estimation.

"I love Kellie -Jae! She supports women above all else and she gave it to Julie Bindel; and rightfully so!
I always felt for the wives and children of these ghastly men. They come first not AGP men."

What took Bindel so long? For a professional feminist she couldn't see what was obvious and pointed out regularly here.

The key word there is 'professional'. She had ideological blinkers on.

I may well be wrong. It just sounds violent, and like it means forcing your way in, in quite crass language. For me it's always signalled a rape euphemism but I'd be pleased to be wrong! I've never used it for this reason.

It means to rip a new anus in the other person, so yes, it is violent imagery.

I once knew a mum who would use that sort of delightful language with her children, including 'if you don't stop that, my boot will go right up your arse'. She's no longer my friend, obvs.

Vastly irritated though I was with anyone who bought his bullshit, that is one hell of a tweet 🤣🤣🤣

It is vicious but with Bindel, the viciousness is never far from the surface.

And what a surprise that Hayton approves of Elon Musk's helpful suggestion to JKR:

"Her output has become increasingly single-issue. Even the man in charge of the platform has noticed.
Last week, Elon Musk told Rowling that, ‘While I heartily agree with your points regarding sex/gender, may I suggest also posting interesting and positive content on other matters?’ But those ‘other matters’ might not bring in the hits."

Yeah, most of us were not as impressed with that as Hayton seems to be.

StellaAndCrow · 14/05/2024 00:16

Yes, I always remember Hayton as the person who developed trans guidance for schools, including this section on "Dual Role People"

Blokes who are part-time crossdressers should of course be able to use women's toilets, according to Hayton.

"Supporting Dual-role People
Some people manage their gender dysphoria by living as a man or a woman in
different aspects of their lives. For example, they may work in a male role but socialise in a female role.
Although the protected characteristic under the Equality Act
is gender reassignment, it is best to assume that dual-role
people are covered by perception that they might transition.
Like everyone else they deserve to be treated with dignity
and respect.
In practical terms, there should be no issues unless the different aspects of their
lives overlap in some way. For example, a male teacher might want to attend a staff party as a woman. In that case they would probably prefer to use a female name and feminine pronouns, and they should be allowed to use the toilets
appropriate to the gender in which they are presenting."

A ‘straight, white, middle-aged bloke’ complains about a woman calling a ‘straight, white, middle-aged bloke’ a ‘straight, white, middle-aged bloke’.

In a nutshell.

An absolutely superb post by James Dreyfus regarding men (mostly) saying that JKR isn't being 'kind' enough -

'Unless you’ve followed or paid close attention to what @jk_rowling
has been saying, extremely courteously & politely for 10 long years now, & witnessed the decade-long, non-stop onslaught of the worst possible abuse, threats, lies & slander… UNLESS you’re 100% aware of how civilly & calmly she has conducted herself in the face of such vitriol, hatred & aggression & actively involving family members… UNLESS you’ve watched, time & time again, men telling her to “sit down & shut up”, “control yourself, woman” or “I don’t think that’s very nice. Why can’t you just be kind & accept what we are telling you?”, I’m really NOT convinced that it’s your f*ing place to pop up NOW & instruct her to exercise ‘basic common decency’… SHE’S BEEN DOING THAT FOR 10 YEARS. So, I’m sure all you bleating, barking men, out there, who’ve suddenly decided she’s “crossed a line”, you, embarrassingly, HAVEN’T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION, have you? She’s done the whole “being kind” schtick. (For many more years than most of us would, to be honest). Where has that got her?

TRA’s don’t CARE about that. They are going to hate her regardless. They want the hate. They crave it. Nevertheless, she continued to debate with grace & courtesy, whilst others raged at her from basements etc, worldwide. But, to you, watching from the sidelines, now popping up like f*ing whack-a-moles, you might have failed to notice that she is out of fucks to give & has said so. Clearly.

And believe it or not, she has the unwavering gratitude & support of a HUGE (& ever-growing) number of women, girls, gay people, transsexuals, detransitioners, parents & children. Why? Because she took the fall for those who felt they had no voices nor a chance to say “No”. Well, they do now. And if that bugs the heck out of you, you’ll have to find a better coping strategy. Because our voices, loudly & given strength because of her, will NEVER deny the truth & always speak up for those who are TRULY vulnerable & marginalised. And shame on all the Q+ organisations for turning your backs on her, after all the help & financial support she gave to those with HIV. Shame on you. Thank you again @jk_rowling for standing tall & for NOT “staying in your goddamn’d place!” (Please RT. Account restricted. As per.)'

Brendan O'Neill giving Hayton what for

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/jk-rowling-is-no-bully/

I do love me a good BO'N rant. His opinion on Bambi Thug in Spiked I also found quite entertaining. Although, in both articles, that what he said even warranted saying is sad and depressing if you think about it too much.

JK Rowling is no bully

Harry potter author JK Rowling has been accused of bullying after speaking out in the transgender debate. She is no bully

Unless he has a humiliation fetish as well. Which is likely.

Oh gawd.

But yes.

I think he might regret telling everyone about it.

Oh and writing an entire book about it.

And yelling about it in all the newspapers.

there really should be some kind of Darwin award, to be honest.

I do wonder if a time will come when Hayton regrets that he chose to watch all that sissy porn.

Of course the rest of his family have been regretting his choice for years.

@CountingCrones

it was being reported as a New Progressive Thing when, as JKR points out, it’s merely the same old middle aged white blokes getting jobs.

Yes. The whole progressive wittering about trans inclusive feminism obscures the fact that not one single female person, the people whose oppression feminism supposedly exists to fight, gains anything from all this.

It's like redefining the top 100 richest households in Mayfar as being "legally" in Tower Hamlets then claiming you've massively increased the average wealth of the people of Tower Hamlets. Technically yes you have but no person already in Tower Hamlets saw any change in their circumstances.

P.s. ladies and gents, getting in at the top end and befriending you IS PART OF THE FETISH.

Exactly, a perverse kind of trophy hunting.
The main vibe I get is the man gets off on boundary transgression,.

InvisibleBuffy · 13/05/2024 19:00

JellySaurus · 13/05/2024 12:18

it’s not clear to me why anyone should really care.

That really sums up the transgenderist attitude.

'Why do you care? We just want to pee in peace.'

'Why do you care? We just want to have what we want?'

'Why do you care, you old busybody?'

Ticks so many of the Rules of Misogyny.

Why do we care? Because we care about women. Because we care about our children's futures. Because we care about equality and equity. Because we care about more than just what we want.

This is it, isn't it?
If you don't really care about women and girls, then it's confusing as to why anyone cares.
If you do care about women and girls, then it's blindingly obvious.
And of course, bonus bingo points to Hayton for telling off Rowling for not being kind enough to male people.

Datun · 13/05/2024 18:42

Gave a speech about knowing he wasn’t really a women.

This seems to be the entirety of the criteria required for his acceptance in some circles.

It's bizarre. It must've felt a bit like a magic key, to him. I can do everything that all the others are denied, as long as I keep saying I'm a man doing it. Obviously you can't say I'm a man doing it, though

Someone has collected the receipts of Clark bullying people online who state biology exists including JKR herself. Not that was needed to justify saying he was a man, but shows how much JKR is right as always. https://twitter.com/galluslass/status/1789969437627392114

God, these men are absolutely desperate for her attention. Willoughby, Hayton, Clark.

Is it a mummy thing?

OpalSpirit · 13/05/2024 18:37

Saw Hayton speak at an event many years ago.
Gave a speech about knowing he wasn’t really a women. Got a lot of applause from a group of women that arrived with him and then toddled off to us the women’s toilet 😒

Brendan O'Neil's riposte to Hayton - a much better article in my opinion.

Cracking article from Brendan O'Neill.

"A society that forbids truth-telling, on the basis that it might hurt someone’s feelings, is a society that has abandoned reason for delusion, sacrificed science to sensitivity. To elevate a minority’s emotional needs over the majority’s liberty of observation, our fundamental right to describe what we see, is to chip away at the very foundations of Enlightened society".

The Hayton article is incredibly slight. Perhaps that in itself is reassuring: "History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce, thirdly as space filling column inches.”
Hopefully we are moving towards a point where these sorts of opinion pieces are just distracting aftershocks, a background accompaniment to newly normalised decision-making in the wake of Cass.

The whole 'Ultra GC' thing is something that was being pushed.

Yet everytime you scratch the surface in terms of whether we should respect X individual you see a pattern.

The referee turns out to be not really respectable because: see the reciepts.

And Hayton? See the reciepts.

Respect is earned not given and it should be mutual.

The whole problem that 'Lite GC' has is that when you look at these individuals they follow the same pattern.
