Just as the title says really! Is that your only thought about who you'll vote for, or will you look at wider policies? Been getting lots of information through my letter box recently, and none mention it.

https://news.sky.com/story/amp/rwanda-bill-causing-migrants-to-opt-for-ireland-deputy-pm-says-13123078

One link to show quote from politicians in Ireland the other one to show Christian, a migrant’s reaction

The threat of deportation to Rwanda is causing migrants to head for Ireland instead of the UK, Ireland's deputy prime minister has said.

Great. It shows already that it’s working.

AhNowTed · 10/05/2024 08:49

I don't need to "ask Ireland" anything.

I'm Irish.

What exactly have the Tories done to stop the boats. Absolutely nothing bar a ridiculous gimmick.

As usual do nothing and stoke division.

Oh but Labour would be worse is all you can come up with. Are folks really this wilfully blind.

Anything to justify voting for the most chaotic corrupt inept government in my lifetime.

Did you listen?

What a load of shite. Do you think Labour can stop global trafficking networks? How exactly?

Wilfully blind indeed.

Also ask Ireland about increased numbers

Oh come on! The tide of immigration has in fact risen all over the western world, I don’t think it would be any lower under a Labour government, and they would be encouraging it, not trying to stop it.

Listening to Cooper this morning I bet the traffickers are laughing at how much they’ll cash in very soon.

Fucking hell what a load of bollocks

Deal with climate change or displaced peoples?

Good point - both need attention.

Runor · 09/05/2024 16:24

Re the immigration statistics; anyone remember that increased migration is one of the expected impacts of climate change? This will only get worse, so we need a government which has a good idea of how to deal with it. Labour have yet to declare their plan (maybe Natalie can help them develop one!)

Is Labour run Wales the only ones who haven’t accepted the Cass Review?

I mean as a party they do all sorts of anti women stuff but to
go against Cass takes rare stupidity

Really not helping children in Wales

TooBigForMyBoots · 09/05/2024 16:03

What about
Effectively decriminalised rape?
Ruining health (so single sex wards are now rare) and education?
All the damage they did pursuing their TRA agenda?
Austerity cuts to women and children's services?
Wrecking the country?
Being a chaotic mess incapable of running the country?
Refusing to make misogyny a Hate Crime.
Reporting women ro the police for retweeting JKR?
Letting convicted perpetrators of VAWG out of jail early?

You may be able to forgive this. You may be one of the few people left that believes their lies. But i wont forgive and i wont forget. A Tory vote is an Anti-woman vote.

Worth reading MN thread

Gender neutral toilets banned in new build restaurants and offices.

Some interesting facts being posted

What about:’

  • pausing the Ban Conversion Therapy bill so as to clarify meanings around what “conversion therapy” actually is for T
if it is not important and necessary psychological/talking therapies?
  • stopping Scotland from bringing in GRC self-ID including for 16 year olds?
  • commissioning the Cass report?
  • looking into the need to clarify the meaning of ‘Sex’ in the Equality Act?
  • emphasising single sex wards?
  • Boris Johnson breaking the taboo about mentioning out loud, in public, that there is a difference between TW and W? ( In spite of all he did wrong).

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wherewerewerewear · 09/05/2024 12:59

Yes. This guy is unbelievable. He hates his own female party members, particularly when they state that a man is not a woman. He says some women have penises. And then lo and behold, a woman from the Conservative Party decides to defect to the Labour party (the only possible reason being that she still needs a job), he welcomes her with open arms. What a flip flopping biological sex-denying blob. Nobody should trust the Labour Party.

Because of their record while in government and their future under Penny TWAW Mordaunt.

Labour is the more likely anti woman outcome

Good luck

Why?

TooBigForMyBoots · 09/05/2024 12:08

Abeona · 09/05/2024 09:16

As long as they don't vote Conservative I don't mind.

Errr, do you really think anyone here is concerned that you might disapprove of their voting intentions?

A Tory vote is an Anti-woman vote.

Dineasair · 09/05/2024 11:42

AhNowTed · 09/05/2024 08:57

Labour is pro-immigration?

Let's just look at some actual numbers.

Annual net migration in 2010 (under Labour) was 252,000, a then record high.

In 2023 (under the Tories) it was 672,000, lower than the record high of 745,000 in 2022.

Seriously folks, come on.

Oh come on! The tide of immigration has in fact risen all over the western world, I don’t think it would be any lower under a Labour government, and they would be encouraging it, not trying to stop it.

AstonsDataThief · 09/05/2024 08:39

Not only did the "Conservative"🙄 party inflict the trans shitshow on us, they're letting DV perpetrators, burglars, muggers out of jail early, they can't protect sensitive databases or our borders. Which is fucking mental, considering most of the UK is an island.🤯

Apart from the clear fact that it was Labour who inflicted the “trans shitshow” on us via the GRA, what do you think Labour would do about any of the rest? They are very much more pro immigration than the conservatives and liberal towards crime.

And Labour haven’t declared any way of dealing with the issue.

Are we all to vote blind !
and just keep our fingers crossed they’ll do something positive.
They are leaving any policies they have till the last minute so there isn’t a chance to research viability.
They got stung last time declaring they’d remove charitable status from Private schools only later realising….they can’t actually!

This is a real issue for Labour so they’ll keep it down low for as long as possible

There is no way they have the capacity to deal with billion dollar trafficking networks with what little they have said so far

AGovernmentOfLawsNotOfMen · 09/05/2024 11:23

RebelliousCow · 09/05/2024 09:19

The whole of Europe has an immigration/asylum crisis at present, with escalating numbers. That wasn't the case when Labour was last in power.

And Labour haven’t declared any way of dealing with the issue.
