J’accuse….

JFC - that photo. Those poor, poor girls. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Simon edge has shared a petition calling for Hunt to resign

Right now, I'm remembering when there was all that talk about 'it's not cancelling people, its about accountability'

Yep!

It's your turn now Ruth

Just wait for the Owen Jones article “I’ve always been against puberty blockers. Those who disagree are on the wrong side of history.”

OvaHere · 13/04/2024 12:47

Unbelievable.

Unfortunately we will have to stomach a lot of this sort of revisionism in the despite all the receipts.

She is entirely without normal, healthy shame.

They all are, those who crowed about being on the “right side of history”.

They disgust me, and I truly hope, now that the truth is publicly highlighting their involvement and culpability, they each have a moment of enlightenment that destroys their souls and fills every last minute of the rest of their lives with utter, profound horror and regret.

They destroyed bodies, minds, and lives.
They championed this false narrative, they fronted the attack on those desperately seeking to safeguard and save innocent children, and they celebrated the mutilation of bodies, spirits and truth.
They deserve condemnation and then to live with the real truth of what they have done - not their saviour complex version of reality.

SerafinasGoose · 13/04/2024 12:35

I came here especially for the reverse ferret GIFs, and wasn't disappointed.

Said reverse ferreting is what women on these boards have been saying would happen since - and probably long before - I first stumbled onto FWR in about 2015. And after that, it will be selective memory loss; the convenient 'forgetting' of the dangerous ideology people like Hunt have championed.

Unfortunately for these people, once it's out there on the internet, it's there forever. Women are not going to forget who threw their rights and those of their children under the bus.

It would be a delicious moment, were it not for a sober reflection on the likely numbers of children harmed by this hideous medical experimentation. IMO, those who are culpable should be facing human rights charges.

Look how the blame game's going to go, they're lining up Polly Carmichael to be the fall-guy (which would be well-deserved):

Hunt said her only regret was trusting the “experts”, such as Dr Polly Carmichael, the former director of the Gender Identity Development Service (Gids). “I think there was a responsibility on the NHS, schools and social services. So it wasn’t in my gift to either make this better or worse,” Hunt said.

And Carmichael will blame the endocrinologists who actually gave the injections of puberty blockers. And the endocrinologists will blame the psychiatrists who said they needed them. And the psychiatrists will blame the therapists who were the children’s case managers, and round and round it will go…

No to a golden bridge. Never forget or forgive this:

Crikey, that really is the bloody limit.

NotBadConsidering · 13/04/2024 12:20

I doubt they’ll take her peerage away. It being honest and having integrity was an ongoing requirement for the House of Lords there would be a constant revolving door.

The sheer utter cheeky fuckery of this has me raging. Over 9000 children irreversibly damaged, which she was a fucking cheerleader for - stonewall tried to get Allison Bailey sacked from her chambers remember - and now she wants to pretend she was misled by experts?!

she needs to be held in the same contempt as Paula Vennells. She and Nancy Kelly and so many others shouldn’t be able to live comfortably in the Uk - they should be refused service in every shop, pub and restaurant and shunned by decent society.

Glamourreader · 13/04/2024 12:06

It's a fantastic sign though as it shows how obvious it is that what Stonewall has done is completely indefensible.

She is a liar. Like everyone else at Stonewall 🤷🏼‍♀️

Liars and frauds,all of them.

Snowypeaks · 13/04/2024 11:54

This is a detail, but also relates to the sheer effrontery of it - the Transgender Trend pack is a free resource, but you have to pay for your Stonewall course!

It'a toxic combination of grifting and free government cash no matter how dodgy or dangerous your message is. The knowledge that the tax payer has funded Stonewall and all the trans activist groups to the tune of millions over the years is so depressing. With the nation's children and young people paying the sacrifice with the loss of their long term health and futures.

I can't see any other solution other than to jail people who've behaved like this. Instead this useless government gave Hunt a peerage.

Winterborne74 · 13/04/2024 11:59

a liar & a traitor

She has come out as transtruth, and is exploring her position on the loyalty spectrum. She’s queering credibility.

WarriorN · 13/04/2024 11:56

Jk helpfully reminding everyone that stonewall were indoctrinating nursery children

The absolute brass neck of Ruth Hunt
LoobiJee · 13/04/2024 11:56

As you say, unfortunate for her that the records of what she actually said are in the public domain.

But I suppose lobby groups - unlike those individuals (and institutions) covered by the Nolan principles - are free to repeatedly try to sell a pack of lies, if that gets them what they are lobbying for. Which makes it so important for those covered by the Nolan principles to do some actual research - and not simply cut and paste from lobby groups’ campaign materials, or adopt their campaign materials wholesale as their organisation’s policy.

“She denied that she had ever supported “no debate”, adding: “I’m absolutely someone who has always been working in the middle ground, trying to build consensus.”
^^
Hunt’s critics may contrast that position with her response in October 2018 to a petition asking Stonewall to acknowledge there was a conflict around transgender rights and sex-based women’s rights. She wrote: “We do not and will not acknowledge this. Doing so would imply that we do not believe that trans people deserve the same rights as others. We will always debate issues that enable us to further equality but what we will not do is debate trans people’s right to exist.”
^^
The trouble with that position, critics argued, was that therapists trying to explore whether a young person’s declaration that they were transgender might actually be the result of something else, such as trauma, abuse or homophobia, fell foul of these new boundaries.
^^
In October 2017 Hunt tweeted: “Transwomen are women. It’s the sticking point on both sides I’m afraid and won’t make for a very interesting debate.”
In an opinion piece for the Independent in November 2017, she branded people raising concerns about the rise in young lesbians believing that they were born in the wrong body, “as anti-trans campaigners” deploying a “cynical tactic” amid a “public bout of transphobia”

Snowypeaks · 13/04/2024 11:54

MrsOvertonsWindow · 13/04/2024 11:14

A very insightful comment under that article quoting 2 sections from it:

"...campaigners sent out resource packs to schools in 2018 warning teachers that there was little medical evidence to support puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones...
The evidence-led approach advocated by the resource pack was sent out to thousands of schools by the pressure group Transgender Trend in February 2018. Much of its content has since been upheld by Dr Hilary Cass in her landmark review."

Compare and contrast:

"Stonewall directed teachers to its own “create a trans-inclusive school” course, which they could attend if they paid membership costs of £99 plus VAT".

The fight against trans-ideology has been fought and funded by volunteers who are passionate about the rights of women and children.

This is a detail, but also relates to the sheer effrontery of it - the Transgender Trend pack is a free resource, but you have to pay for your Stonewall course!

EmpressaurusOfCats · 13/04/2024 11:54

Ruth Hunt is a liar & a traitor to lesbians. Stonewall knew exactly what happening to kids. And look what happened to Allison Bailey.
