So we (and they) don't forget and to assist any journalists who are working on stories. I'll get the ball rolling:

Now the CASS report is out it may be time to revisit the part the Dentons' advice played in all of this - does anyone have a copy? | Mumsnet

The Women Hold Up Half the Sky page book page, I know it's just a Facebook page but it has over 560k followers and has previously had some interesting content. But recently has started to post more TWAW stuff, including this today:

I don't want to derail but if you feel brave enough you could post some facts, such as:

Lia Thomas won the NCAA 500 yards freestyle ahead of 3 female olympic silver medallists. Their pre transistion self would never even have qualified for the NCAA men's races let alone made a final.

Taking testosterone suppressing drugs as Lia did does not undo the benefits of male puberty- these are irreversible:

-Taller
-Greater heart and lung capacity
-Longer arms & bigger hands (both relevant to swimming power)
-Longer legs with narrower pelvis (more efficient at running&swimming with less chance of injury)
-Higher proportion of fast twitch muscle fibres which produce explosive power

It's also interesting to consider that natal women found to be over the IOC maximum testosterone limit, indicating doping, receive a 4 year ban. If a trans women is found to be over, they get a 1 year ban. Why the discrimination against natal women? Clearly the Ioc recognises the sporting benefits of testosterone, or it wouldn't be a banned substance for natal women.

I have never heard of a trans woman advocating for removal of sex categories in sport altogether, which surely would make sense if sex really did make no difference. I guess its because in that scenario, all sport would be dominated by the top men, and the trans women we see in women's sport could never compete against them.

Plus, no validation from being in the women's category. But it's not about that. Apparently 🙄

This was hugely disappointing in the reboot of Eve Was Framed.
Caitlin Moran has been tumbleweed on the topic forever - it would be good if she finally had the balls to speak up in her column now.

Even if she did, I'm clean out of fucks where she's concerned. She's an empty vessel who barks the mantra like an obedient sealion if it means she's down wiv da kids. Why waste any more seconds on her, even if she finds a new bandwagon?

Davina McCall. Watch her latest interview on Kellie J on utube. Utter cringe

After all the campaigning Davi a did to raise awareness of menopause issues, you'd think she'd have some grasp of what sex is and why some stuff is only relevant to women. Depressing.

Oh yes she is utterly revolting and so is the Emma Watson one.

I definitely ❤Eleanor Scott after reading couple of those blogs. And after reading the one about the question and answer session that wasn't, Mordaunt is even worse than I realised.

Women & Equalities Caroline Noakes and Carolyn Harris being probably the worst offenders. So angry about them. Writing to my MP

Absolutely we all need to write to MPs and the charities commission and anyone else who will have to at least acknowledge our concern. Don’t leave it to someone else.

But I don’t want to sink to their level and be vindictive myself

i can do that for everyone

Can't be overstated enough: the outsourcing of an organisation's conscience and expertise to the narrow "lived experience" of some identity obsessed employees has completely destroyed the reputations of all our main charities. I have particular contempt for those with child safeguarding responsibilities.

crunchermuncher · 14/04/2024 10:55

There is a difference between holding someone to account for their damaging actions and being vindictive though.

The former is healthy and helpful the latter is not so much.

Edit for the usual typos

Me too. I’m very slow to anger… but when the blood rises I get what my family call ‘the rage’. It lasts for days and I can bear a grudge like no one else (no, probably not very healthy but as an ex therapist, I can live with it)

NormaSnorks · 14/04/2024 07:59

The problem is going to be that all these organisations will have appointed ‘Diversity Leads’ of the pink-haired, pronoun badge-wearing type, and if they are given the task of responding to the Cass report their response will be to discredit or do nothing.
In my experience senior management hasn’t been aware of the underlying issues but has just blithely signed off diversity/ ‘be kind’ stuff which they’ve been told will make then look good. And of course the social media channels are often run by younger staff who have overstepped to show that they are allies.

“At the end of the day businesses jumped on the bandwagon because they thought it made them look good and would make them more money, not because they gave a about the TQ+”

I too make some distinction and I agree with the above . Those are the ones I think we should be giving an escape route from the corner to .

There were some who I would find harder to allow an escape route to : the vindictive , the callous , the spiteful , the totally unremorseful who others have already mentioned.

But I don’t want to sink to their level and be vindictive myself .

oh the shame.

Pullman has tweeted about a meme regarding the Cass report being photoshopped.

About the report itself, not a dicky bird.

I'm unsurprised; the type of mansplainy twunt who uses the Simone De Beauvoir wow as proof of genderfeelz is prob too far gone to understand that he is now part of the Magisterium

Pity. I liked those books but my utter contempt for him means I can't enjoy them any more.
