Disciplinary action for ONS female employees if they object to trans colleagues using their lavatories

"Women working for the Office for National Statistics face disciplinary action if they object to male-born colleagues using single-sex lavatories and changing rooms, documents leaked to The Sunday Telegraph reveal.

A cache of HR policies, internal communications and posts from the ONS intranet show that the statistics body has been subject to “institutional capture” by trans activists, gender critical campaigners have alleged...

A set of ONS resources on “Gender Identity and Transitioning at Work” includes a manager’s checklist for supporting a transitioning employee with a section headed “use of single-sex facilities”.

It says: “Have you agreed when the employee will start to use single-sex facilities, such as toilets and changing rooms, appropriate to their acquired gender? This will usually be on the first day of transition.”

The document says that “if colleagues object to sharing facilities with employees going through transition, the situation should be dealt with through communication, discussion and education”.

“If colleagues persist with unreasonable objections you may need to manage the situation via grievance or disciplinary procedures.”"

Much more detail including a response from Sex Matters in the article linked above.

Surely this is just another expensive court case in the making for them?

This can’t be legal can it? Forced changing your tampon or using the toilet with a male colleague in the next cubicle? No way
Unisex single toilets with their colleagues’ piss on them are bad enough. But it isn’t legal to allow workplaces to force women employees to either toilet with men, or not use the toilet at all all day, surely?

It isn't legal as everyone repeatedly points out. But this is the Office for National Staistics who beclowned themselves by screwing up census data of all things because they've been captured by transactivists imposing their batshit ideas and as a result asked a census question that was incoherent and not clearly understood. They even had to be taken to court by the awesome FPFW to stop them allowing self ID for the question about sex:
https://fairplayforwomen.com/fair-play-for-women-wins-high-court-challenge-against-ons

Yet they still managed to devise another flawed question:

https://www.sociology.ox.ac.uk/article/flawed-census-question-leads-to-inaccurate-data-on-gender-identity

Given that they've allowed extreme transactivism to professionally screw up the one thing they're designed for, it's no surprise that they're doubling down and allowing men to bully women civil servants.

Fair Play For Women wins High Court challenge and judge orders sex must not be self-identified in the Census

Fair Play For Women have today won their High Court challenge against the Office for National Statistics. The ONS has conceded that the proper meaning of Sex in the Census means sex as recognised by law. The High Court has now ordered “What is your sex...

If my workplace had threatened me with a disciplinary because I objected a male coming into female single sex's spaces I sure as hell would go into the men's toilets, greet Bob at the urinal with a loud "ALRIGHT BOB? HOW'S THE WIFE?", lock myself into one of their cubicles and do the loudest piss I could possibly do.

In my experience, "Bob" would get hard listening to you!

Rightsraptor · 30/03/2024 15:13

But who is going to complain in these circumstances? Anyone reading the guff the ONS has churned out on this would expect to be on a disciplinary hearing before she could say 'transwomen are men'.

And even if some brave women did complain, each would be told they were the only complainant, everyone else was totally happy with the situation.

I suppose the answer to that idea is that I am not happy and other women cannot decide for me whether I want to share a changing room with a man - and I don't. He is the problem so remove him.

Sadly, it is unlikely to work with any of them except those who do have a conscience.

There is plenty of evidence that paedophile, who through age or illness are unable to offend personally, still continue to procure victims for other paeddophile.

I'm sure that many of these men would do the same whether physically or chemically castrated. (But I'd still consider it money well spent)

Yes, I agree, thank you. That is why I suggest that removing the physical ability to rape is not enough on it's own, but has to be accompanied by a loss of ability to find any interest in s x. It is decades since I researched this, but there was even then a way to do it. The drugs were not without side effects, of feeling fairly lethargic and apathetic about life in general, in order to feel that way about the previous sexual triggers. (i.i.r.c.). However, the men involved had chosen it, and continued it, just as someone would take the drug to make themselves vomit if they took alcohol, or have all their income and assets taken over by someone they trust, in order to stop themselves gambling. In fact "loss of libido" is, it seems, a fairly common side effect of many drugs, for many purposes, including some for some types of mental ill health. Is this a result of a general flattening of mood, in order to remove extreme emotional swings?

The irony that the office of national statistics cannot distinguish between the terms sex and gender is not lost on me. It truly is a crying shame

I don't think they can distinguish between "man" and "woman" either, it's all vague feelings.

Seriously 😂😂😂 you have no idea. I work for the most diverse company in the UK. I have more experience of LGBTQ than you'll ever know. One person gets raped in hospital, which is horrendous but the blame is on ever transgender woman in the country!.

A transwoman post surgery was jailed in a male prison and put in general circulation. She was raped more than 200 times in the time she spend in that male prison. She wasn't in jail for any sexually related crime, fraud I think. Did she deserve that. Of course not. But the majority of folk no nothing about that. Hate crime against another person just because they are different. Let's hope none of your children tell you they are trans. What happens, do you turn against them, disown them, kick them out. I'll leave you to your narrow minded thought process.

It is here. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/australasia/transgender-woman-raped-2-000-times-male-prison-a6989366.html

This is Brisbane, Australia not England. It is a failing of Australian prison services not to keep males safe from each other. Males can rape each other, regardless of how they identify.

Doesn't mean you place men in prison with women, that is insane. On top of rape, you would have babies born in prison and instead of 1 rape victim, you'd also be dealing with a secondary victim in the child.

I say again, males raping males in all male prison is a problem to be solved inside the prison. You don't transfer the problem to female prisons.

Catering to people who demand these ridiculous "human rights" when they have ridden roughshod over the human rights of others - usually vulnerable women and children - is beyond cracked.

If they claim female identity - straight for castration whether they request it or not. No-one can give them female genitalia, but we can at least take away their horrible male bits which must be causing them all sorts of distress. Don't so many of them claim that it is "struggling with their gender identity" that so often causes them to commit such terrible sexual and violent crimes in the first place?

Two birds, one stone.

That seems very close to unanswerable logic. It could equally unanswerably be extended to any s xua l or violent offender: The hormone surges are what causes unfortunate humans to become unsafe to themselves and others, and to require removal from society. Society cannot afford to lock the whole lot of them up in cages for the rest of their lives.

There have been cases of apparently genuine regret over losing control. High testosterone levels are routinely seen in the (rare) female violent offenders, and higher than average levels in the exceptionally violent male ones. Some paedophiles don't really like the fact they are attracted to children, and have asked to have some kind of chemical castration, hoping that on release, they can spend the rest of their lives without any urges at all. (This, partly from concern over their inevitable future victims, and partly because for them, experiencing any sexual impulse at all can result in their own imprisonment.)

Set aside that men have always made laws, and such legislators have always had a knee-crossing horrified shudder at the thought of anyone tampering with dangly bits: a) It's a mistake to let the world be run on the lop-sided basis of excluding females from decision making. b) It's not, now, necessary to use surgery, to achieve hormonal control, or to achieve vasectomy, or to achieve administration of steady doses of drug regimes for mentally unbalanced and/ or hormonally unbalanced individuals.

Knife-free vasectomy is now normal practice. It would be surprising if a 'Viagra treatment- in- reverse', could not be achieved by similar micro-methods, or by implanted drugs. The decades of using long lasting implants of contraceptives for women must have provided a proof that implants for men could be an option. (The caveat is, that being unable to achieve erection is insufficient: Being unable to achieve any s xu l interest is the aim.)

Medicinal implants of all kinds should be the routine method of offering continuously-taken drugs, where there is a risk to self or others. Chemical castration, or correction of hormonal imbalance, would be obvious candidates. But also, drugs to deal with mental disturbance must be more sensibly given via implant than by expecting perfect memory and control and orderly life-planning, from exactly the patients known to have no such circumstances.

It is beyond absurd that prisoners are merely expected to take their own medicine to control violent mental illness, therefore they choose to refrain, and instead injure prison guards, until the end of their sentences means they get released to injure the general public.

This. And, no: No special pandering to one group more than another.... It costs money which is needed for worthwhile purposes. A hulking strongman is not "at risk" in male prisons, regardless of if he likes to rape males or females or both. Other prisoners may be at risk from him. Photos of the male winners of 'women's sports' events will demonstrate there is NO correlation between being physically weak and exploiting the opportunities created by The Cult.

There have been reports of how the Cult has enabled men to play the system. e.g. One demanded prison indulged his s xual fantasy/ fetish of wearing baby nappies, and being spoon-fed pureed food, and to have his hand held by a guard when leaving his cell.

Another prolific rapist actually achieved his first rape inside the women's prison by attacking one of the staff during the formal admission routine, while others get their s xual enjoyment by demanding that female staff carry out intimate body searches.

A guard has, without comment, mentioned a decision by the Cult-Captured prison service that in his (a women's) jail, a rota of two male guards must be on duty inside each cell, round the clock, for the very precious special (i.e. male) prisoners. There are barely enough guards to keep the entire prison population safe.

Absolutely - although all prisoners should be safe, not just trans prisoners. Unfortunately sexual assault and rape is not uncommon in prisons.

I've started "grey-rocking" him - but sometimes it is difficult. He sits there* poking everyone with a stick, until someone snaps back at him.

Something, something, it's inadvisable to let the actions of someone who doesn't have your best interests at heart govern your emotions or responses. Something, something, possibly about transactional analysis and drama triangles.

Ethan Mollick thread with citations: As Twitter is getting new leaders, reminder that moderation is vital:
1) A few trolls ruin everything: Just 0.1% of all Reddits make 38% of attacks on others
2) Short well-explained bans for 1st offenses, followed by perma-bans, work well
3) Toxic communities turn new users toxic

The business case, from League of Legends:
Trolling can be stopped: banning abusive players while giving fast feedback results in 92% of toxic players improving
Trolls cost: if your 1st game has a toxic player, you are 320% more likely to quit forever

Interesting item about incivility and if enforcing civility stifles debates. However, I feel there's a distinction between debates that exchange ideas and where parties are open to persuasion as evidence changes, and the sort of exchanges where it's difficult to discern genuine intent to test ideas because ideology dominates all. (And we're back to Lifton, Havel, Solzhenitsyn, Cialdini et al.) ETA: and yes, as with reddit, there will be some posters for whom the goals are secondary gain via even negative engagement, reinforced by the exertion of control over other posters (governing emotions and somehow compelling responses beyond Fermat's manoeuvre), and creating plausibly as equal a likelihood of deterring lurkers as encouraging them.

There is also this:

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-building-requirements-for-separate-male-and-female-toilets

'The government has announced today it is acting to bring forward changes to regulations that will mean all new non-domestic public and private buildings will be required to provide separate single-sex toilets for women and men and/or a self-contained, private toilet as a minimum.
The change comes amid dignity and privacy concerns from women and elderly people who feel they are being unfairly disadvantaged as publicly accessible toilets are increasingly being converted into gender neutral facilities.'

Yep as you see from that it shows the solution (sticking plaster solution) to men in the womens is to make them all enclosed and think it’s a good idea.

Except for anyone having a medical emergency, women and children who are more at risk of being assaulted in an unseen place, during building evacuations, hygiene (airflow and floor cleaning).

I bet you it’s all able bodied men designing these. When I asked the manufacturer of the toilets how to get into one of their fully enclosed theatre toilets, they admitted it would take upto 20 minutes with the right tools. Thats not great if the buildings on fire or the lock breaks or someone has had a stroke.

Absolutely. I'm sure we all agree on that, they should be protected along with all vulnerable prisoners of the same sex. Now the rules have changed in England very few males here are eligible to go to a female prison so I would hope that they are treated like other vulnerable males in the male estate.

I cannot believe that the ONS, an organisation which is about accuracy in recording history allowed a group internally to transition James Barry. It really does show how far these groups will go to misrepresent history and facts to falsely support their claims. No! James Barry should not be transitioned. How fucked up to reframe a woman’s life and achievement to suit your group’s political purposes!

RE: James Barry .
After reading the Wikipedia article in the German Wiki, I de-transitioned Barry (I re-formulated the sentence stating that "it is assumed that Barry was trans", so that it now states that this is an assumption held in queerpolitical circles. The whole article still uses "he" as Barrys pronoun, but I might go back to that later.
Grrr. One woman goes against the sexist rules of her time ( with the help of her mother and other wellconnected family members!), and of course she can't have been a woman, she must have been a man.
