As with anyone who repeats some version of this statement, it means one of two things.

She either believes it, which means she is stupid; or she doesn't believe it, but is saying it anyway, which means she is a liar. Neither is a good quality in positions of power.

People are genuinely getting pissed off with this now.

Do they think we are so stupid we will believe males and females are the same thing?

Pure idiocy.

Especially when the majority of men who claim to be women don't actually 'transition' at all.

What is the magic sweet spot where these men have supposedly transitioned then? Lipstick, long hair or getting their penis cut off?

The general public don't buy it either. They know men are no type of women.

The only way that statement makes sense is if the word woman includes male people.

Taking the 'sex' classification out of the word woman means that we don't actually need that word any more because that was it's only purpose. If it no longer only means 'biological woman through sex' then it's obsolete.

What word would she suggest to replace it?

So patronising. I can "get" what she's saying but I simply and wholeheartedly disagree. Transwomen transition (to whatever degree and in whatever way they choose) and remain male, and a subset of men.
