This is maddening and horrific. I am disgusted with the BBC...since when did indisputable facts cease to matter? Impartiality? I used to really trust the BBC, no longer

KeeeeeepDancing · 29/02/2024 22:34

WhiteVelvet what did you have in mind?
Do you still post on the Times online comments?

I'd love to meet up with some of the posters. So knowledgable and sensible. And CROSS

I don’t understand why the movement hasn’t rallied in massive numbers. Why we haven’t galvanised the public to join us on the streets yet.

Men basically think it doesn't affect them, and do not care that it affects women.
So they ignore it. Think it will just all go away as it is silly.

But we know that it is only going to go away with serious pressure.

Friends are surprised when I say I know longer trust the BBC. This one of the reasons why. The BBC lies with inpunity, same as the judiciary who demand a victim calls her rapist 'she' in court, same as the police who are happy to log the transgender cat killing murderer as a woman and, of course, same as any politician who parrots the delusion that transwomen are women.

Over the past 8 years I have turned from a broadly sympathetic person who thought that the few (ha ha) men who struggled with their sex were to be treated kindly to a hard-line hold-the-line person who refuses under any circumstances to submit to compelled speech out of politeness or to give an inch to the be kind brigade. This is a zero sum game now as far as I'm concerned.

Me too.
Lots of us.

I'm wondering whether to delete my BBC app

I've just done so. I've been tempted in the past, but enough is enough!

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 29/02/2024 22:14

ErrolTheDragon · 29/02/2024 22:10

And also, is there some way of specifically supporting Justin Webb for doing his job well?

I was wondering the same. Any broadcasters/BBC staff out there who can suggest something that might be helpful?

boozeclues · 29/02/2024 22:13

I honestly attribute this whole woman hating - men can be woman discord to the likes of Andrew Tate and all then the incel based content online.

It’s so clearly porn based sexual fantasy shit, you just have to have a glance at Reddit etc to see major red flags.

Men addicted to porn and being trans is a perfect circle in a venn diagram, as a woman I have yet to watch any porn (for all the TRAs reading).

its fucking shocking how we are to accept people with open fetishes into our safe spaces.

Datun · 29/02/2024 22:13

Un fucking real. Transwomen aren't just male, they're men. Adult human males.

It's literally impossible to be a transwoman if you're not male!

This is the BBC deciding, unilaterally, that they are going to redefine the word male. No, not redefine it, un-define it.

Because they haven't given an alternative meaning to 'of or denoting the sex who produce sperm.'

Just decided to pander to an ideology in the teeth of almost their entire viewing public.

I wonder how that impartiality is working out for them!

DuesToTheDirt · 29/02/2024 22:12

I'm wondering whether to delete my BBC app and find another news source, though perhaps it's good to monitor what they're up to.

BTW, why do TRAs get angry about women being defined as "adult human female", when they have now rewritten "male" and "female" for themselves?

SlumberDearMaid · 29/02/2024 22:12

NotBadConsidering · 29/02/2024 22:08

A good percentage of the population don’t actually know that transwomen are men. They think it’s a woman who is trans. So that qualifier is essential. Better still would be to use the term “men who identify as trans” consistently.

That’s why I now say ‘transgender males’.

Citrusandginger · 29/02/2024 22:11

Definitely Errol.

ErrolTheDragon · 29/02/2024 22:10

Citrusandginger · 29/02/2024 22:06

So how and who do we complain to about this? I'm so fucked off this week after hearing murderer Blake consistently referred to as she.

And also, is there some way of specifically supporting Justin Webb for doing his job well?

boozeclues · 29/02/2024 22:08

So asking this, is transphobic. What if those males where rapists and now want to pretend to be women:

“In the same month, Webb was criticised for asking Liberal Democrats leader Ed Davey if there should “not be spaces where biological males cannot go” in reference to trans women

It is interesting how complaints of bias in one direction are multiple, drag on forever and the BBC seem to be able to infinitely ignore them. But a complaint from the other political view seems to have just winged straight through to action.

This is tax payer funded. To be the mouthpiece of a lobby that want to punish and silence any bits of reality they dislike, and have led to a complaint upheld that a presenter did not edit out facts that this extremist lobby do not like being reminded of when broadcasting to the general public.

What the fuck else are they editing out?

Oh but the BBC is the Envy Of The World with its high standard of oh god whatever the fuck it is people bang on about when the issue of paying for it as a subscription like netflix and Disney and so on comes up.

PermanentTemporary · 29/02/2024 21:56

I think the vast majority of the population just don't want to think about it. If anything they're tired of it (aren't we all). They don't like the arguments and the angry voices and people saying they're upset, and wankers like Trump jumping on the bandwagon make a lot of ordinary people decide that if it upsets him it must be a good thing - tbh I sympathise there. And then a teenager died.

I'm on the side I am because I just can't say that a male person is a woman and the girls I know are men. Clearly some people can. If I could, tbh, I probably would.

theDudesmummy · 29/02/2024 21:51

Honestly, every day I think "are we there yet?".

ArabellaScott · 29/02/2024 21:47

Is it possible to complain to the BBC about this?

Might be worth a shot. They've not got back to me about Scarlet Blake yet.

theDudesmummy · 29/02/2024 21:30

A transwoman has to be male, its literally the definition. If they weren't male then they would be female so just a woman, no need for a longer word. It's not a "personal opinion". This is batshit.

EdithStourton · 29/02/2024 21:26

God alive, what is the world coming to? A newscaster says someone with XY chromosomes is a bloke, and gets censured for it.

On the plus side, I didn't pay the bloody BBC my licence fee when it came round for renewal. Neither DH nor I was watching anything iPlayer and we don't have a TV set. For years we'd pay the licence fee out of a sense of duty because we listened a lot to Radio 4, but (apart from islands of sanity) had become drearily predictable. Never mind the wankery which has been infecting the news.

AlphariusOmegron · 29/02/2024 21:22

There are four lights.

IncompleteSenten · 29/02/2024 21:17

I don't believe that anyone of sound mind could be shown a photograph of a naked bearded person with cock and balls and pass a lie detector test with the question this person says they are a woman, do you believe this person is a woman.

I think the problem here is most people have been thinking that the whole thing is so insane they it cannot possibly be an actual threat.

It's only now that the awful stories are coming out that those who dismissed it as utter bollocks not to be taken seriously are realising holy fuck, people in power are actually listening to these tra nutters. I just hope enough people wake the fuck up in time for the world to pull back from this lunacy.

Yes - that’s exactly is - the vast majority of the public are • sex realists and GC. So why is everyone so pro trans, and inflicting actual violence on Posie Parker, etc, etc ?

I’m in NZ, by the way - it’s far less OK to be openly GC down here.

I’m in the UK, sorry I forget this forum is international!

The crazy voices get highlighted because they are willing to go out and shout their crazy crap from the rooftops. Our issue is being able to convince enough of the normals to go into public view and do the same.

PP is unbelievable. She has bigger balls than a lot of men.
