From the US: mother of TiF went undercover at gender clinic

This is quite shocking - a 53-year-old mother, estranged from her daughter for not affirming her trans identity, decided to go undercover with her local healthcare provider to see how "gender-affirming care" works.

She pretended to be "non-binary", and was approved for testosterone, double mastectomy and phalloplasty within a few months. No safeguarding at all.

I know this is from the US, but affects us all as the main driver of gender ID bollox. And I know most of us know this kind of thing goes on, but I hope this story reaches as many people as possible who aren't aware.

I Pretended To Be ‘Nonbinary’ To Expose a Medical Scandal at Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser gender specialists were eager to approve hormones and surgeries, which would all be covered by insurance as “medically necessary.”

PP82 - seriously?! If I go to a doctor because I believe I have a medical issue (gender dysphoria?) I want the doctor to consider my symptoms, diagnose the actual problem and offer appropriate treatment.

You don’t seem to think that. Is that because you don’t think gender dysphoria is a medical condition? Do you think it’s appropriate to offer care for gender dysphiria to a patient who is actually suffering from a mental health issue?

Or perhaps you believe that gender affirming surgery is actually just cosmetic surgery which should be offered to anyone who asks? Which is it?

She's an adult. So what's the problem?

So should an adult with anorexia be encouraged and supported in their choice not to eat? Should an adult with body dysmorphia be offered plastic surgery to 'put right' all the bits of themselves they think look bad?

Money, money, money, in a rich man's world. Depressing, barbaric, what else can you say. Except, of course, that the sunlight is a good thing.

Seriously? You read that article and that's your take away thought?

It's shocking how easily the adult who knew it was all a pile of crap, fed them enough red flags for them to realistically not deem her a suitable candidate for life changing, possibly life limiting, totally unnecessary surgeries was greenlighted for everything.

If this company can be so lax with an adult why should we assume they are any different with the children and young adults with actual mental health issues that are causing their ROGD that pass through the system?

No one should be able to get such life changing not medically necessary treatment so flipping quick with seemingly no thought at any stage from the clinicians involved that this might not actually be in the patients best interest.

I don't know what you've got against adults, PP82 - surely they deserve safe, responsible medical care same as non-adults?

Wow what a read! The way she dropped in hints (and more) about mental health issues and they blithely went on. What great work she has done!

This really is a superb piece of reporting. It's shocking how easily the author was ushered through the system. As she says, she was prepared for failure in her efforts to expose the lack of safeguards, but wasn't prepared for such a quick and easy success.

Despite gender activists and clinicians constantly claiming that obtaining hormones and surgeries is a long and complex process with plenty of safety checks in place, I was in full control at every checkpoint. I was able to self-diagnose, determine how strong a dose of testosterone I received and which surgeries I wanted to pursue, no matter how extreme and no matter how many glaring red flags I purposefully dropped. The medical workers I met repeatedly reminded me that they were not there to act as “gatekeepers.”

I was able to instantly change my medical records to reflect my new gender identity and pronouns. Despite never being diagnosed with gender dysphoria, I was able to obtain a prescription for testosterone and approval for a “gender-affirming” double mastectomy from my doctor. It took only three more months (90 days) to be approved for surgery to remove my uterus and have a fake penis constructed from the skin of my thigh or forearm. Therapy was never recommended.

Brave woman. We need more people doing this to expose the dishonesty, negligence and unacknowledged medical experimentation that's going on in these places.

I'd like to see a good investigative reporter backed by his or her publishers taking it up over here.
