"Human Milk" ffs

Not linking to DM (clicks) but an article on the app today talks about how one NHS trust has said that hormone fuelled milk produced by transwomen is equally as good for baby as breastmilk produced by women.

The director says the terminology Human Milk should be used as both milk types are equal.

In the letter, the Medical Director claims 'there is clear and overwhelming evidence that human milk is the ideal food for infants', referring to both breast milk and the 'induced lactation' of biological men

Ffs these poor babies.

The £££££ that has been thrown in faking shit for men so they can cosplay womanhood while actual disease and illness is left to fundraise for its own research is sickening.

I'm guessing this particular gender surgeon doesn't have many friends in OBS and Gynae professions somehow... I do think future generations will look back at us and wonder what we were all on.

Surely he will be advised that the least he can do is take these perfectly safe drugs so that he can help out a bit and produce this perfectly safe and nutritious milk. After all it’s for the baby’s benefit, and this has nothing to do with anything else!

Or he could not.

He could support the mother of his child by.not pretending to be a woman and making it about himself.

He can do a million other things than indulge his own fantasies.

When a woman has gestated and birthed an entire new human, the very least any father can do is get over himself for a good few weeks and change every nappy, cook meals and clean the house. That's minimum decency. There isn't time for the man to indulge identity feelings. The woman will likely have had her identity ripped to sheds just by becoming a mother. Support her. Save male identity indulgence for a time when the mother and infant need you less.

It's not that difficult. Being trans doesn't have to equate to behaving so badly. The posters who try and defend this are doing trans people a huge disservice by painting them as selfish abusive arseholes.

I disagree that there needs to be more research into male "breast milk". It's pointless research. Women give birth, and lactate. If for any reason the mother can't breastfeed the baby, there are ample heavily-researched and suitably nutritious alternatives available. Why waste research funds on something so blatantly useless?

They use drugs like domperidone to induce lactate in men with a fetish.

But where's your evidence...

Ok looked it up. If a paedophile also has that fetish then that is a risk. One way to combat this would be to ensure close supervision of any trans parent who requests drugs to breast feed but I wouldn't have thought child in that situation would be at any more risk than any other child. there are perverts in every demographic, that's how they get away with it.

Are transwomen more likely to be sex offenders? I have no idea.

An easier way would be to put the needs of the baby front and center no?

No need for men to try and breast feed. They can do lots of other tasks when the baby is that young.

The term "Human milk" doesn't offend me at all, because of the long-used slogan "human milk for human babies" which is used to reinforce the naturality of breastfeeding against narratives that cow's milk is "normal milk" etc.

Questions about whether the substance produced by the transwomen is really "milk" are more relevant in my opinion.

It would be pretty easy to test the male breast product for nutritional content and for secreted levels of hormones and medication. I don't understand why these questions haven't been unequivocally scientifically answered already.

The really interesting question would be the other benefits - like antibodies. The parent will obviously share the same environment as the baby. If this feeding method gave the baby additional benefits (over formula) then it could be worth pursuing.

And before the "experimenting on babies" crowd jump in, I 100% would want to see this done as lab analysis.

They use drugs like domperidone to induce lactate in men with a fetish.

Domperidone ends up in the breastmilk and can case heart issues to the baby. This is known.

There is nothing safe or ok about this. Everyone promoting this should be in prison.

Domperidone: Uses, Dosage, Side Effects, Warnings - Drugs.com

Domperidone is an antiemetic drug used to treat nausea and vomiting and relieve the discomfort cause by a slow moving stomach (gastroparesis). It is a dopamine antagonist.

Why do you think testing male secretions hasn't been done GreyDuck? And why do you think that the discussions about this focus on instances that involve babies?

The NHS Rainbow Badge scheme specifically demands trusts have policies to support "non-carrying" parent to breast/chest feed.
I can't find it now but in the resources pack trusts are signposted to Brighton's policy. It will be in every trust that took part in the assessment process.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/rainbowbadgee_accreditationrepo/response/2501043/attach/3/Barts%20Rainbow%20Award%20Final%20Assessment%20Report.pdf?cookiee_passthrough=1

I suspect that this mainly relates to couples where both parents are biologically female though (even if potentially one of them is a transman, which would perhaps explain the use of chest feeding). This doesn't necessarily feel hugely problematic to me for that reason, but I can see it would depend how this recommendation was interpreted.

A short chat I would imagine, as transwomen don't have 'periods'

OP: Darling daughter...what's all this about men shoving used tampons up their arse and calling it a period?
DD: yes darling mother, men are fucking weird aren't they? However, we can't say anything because we'll be called TERFS and other women will rush to defend their perversions.

end of conversation.

Datun · 18/02/2024 21:10

I'd just had a chat with my daughter about transwomen's 'periods', she finds it bizarre! I am quite naïve I admit and I am a hopeless optimist, not sure why but it makes me happy to believe that people are ultimately good.

Well that's just lovely, but don't ever get involved in safeguarding, in that case. Because it relies on you thinking the opposite. Let's be grateful for those women who put themselves out there, in order to do that.

And just so you know, 98% of all sex crimes are committed by men, not women. 90% of all violent crime is committed by men. In fact most crimes are committed by men.

It's incredibly sex-specific.

And paraphilias cluster. So if you've got one, you likely to have more than one.

and they escalate.

qabd · 18/02/2024 21:09

How can a baby consent to being experimented on like this?

Honestly the world is going to hell.

Chariothorses · 18/02/2024 21:08

The reason this group of men can,t be questioned is because social workers/ SWE/nhs and CPS have all introduced ideological policies agreed with well funded trans groups like stonewall and punished staff who speak up about safeguarding concerns ( like rachel mead). Even the nspcc have ignored voluntary groups like children of transitioners who have raised safeguarding concerns.

Although, when did I use the phrase 'female people'? Doesn't sound like me. And what do they do too? I genuinely only wanted to know where the information was coming from, I like learning things and I find the human body fascinating.

It's incredible that some people imagine that the onus is on people who object to this unnecessary and unnatural practice to prove that it's harmful and done for adult gratification rather than for a baby's benefit rather than for the proponents to prove that it's harmless and beneficial in some way.

I've never seen the evidence, do you have a link to that?

The evidence shows that it, unsurprisingly, is vastly inferior. Also, men on drugs can barely make enough daily for a single feed and that's without the traces of drugs in the fluid they produce.

I was coming on to say the same.

I have read a couple of papers which say that the nutritional content is next to nothing - it is largely sebum IIRC.

Helleofabore · 18/02/2024 20:56

Does anyone else remember there was a company in the USA who did fake glamour pregnancy shoots for male people? With all the make up and sheets draped over fake abdomens?

And that South American male model who used the infant as a prop suckling on their estrogen derived nipple for the queer photoshoot?

Whatsnewpussyhat · 18/02/2024 20:48

If any other man was forcing a baby to suck his nipples it would rightly be considered child sexual abuse.

So how come men who claim to be women must never have their motives questioned? Why do the most basic child safeguards not apply to THOSE men wanting babies to suck their nipples?

We are at the point where grown men are using babies to provide validation for their fantasy of womanhood or to give them 'euphoria' and being applauded and encouraged to do so.

The fact it is of no benefit to the baby is irrelevant to them. The man's feelings and needs are always priority.

In plain sight.

How fucking stupid or naive do you have to be to think that this male behaviour is harmless and in no way sexual.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 18/02/2024 20:46

That Telegraph article now has over 3,400 comments - all completely disgusted at anyone in the NHS pushing this. Along with the John Lewis promoting breast binding / centring adults with fetishes it's been quite a weekend for showing what's going on.

So that's a few more than the 6 of us plus dog on this board

I was referring to the fact that you suggested that female people might be sexually aroused by a baby feeding at their breast. If you didn't mean that, then I misunderstood and I apologise.

Or perhaps let's not spend all this time and money on men pretending to be women, and perhaps spend it on actual women needing support to breastfeed.

I use female people. For two reasons really. One it allows me to be very clear that I also include those trans people who are female that extreme trans activists often forget but also that they try to twist our words to portray us as forgetting. I do not forget these women and girls. It is also then very clear that I exclude those male people who want to be call themselves 'women'. Calling them male people makes points very clear even to those who call those male people 'women' or 'she'. It is hard to argue that some male people should be ex/included in female sports categories when you refuse to say 'some women should be ex/included in women's sports'.

Secondly, I use the term so I don't get deleted for non-use of pronouns or for misgendering. My posts often get reported as do many regulars. I have had to adopt this style of writing posts to increase my chance of not having my posts deleted.

My style of writing annoys many, my language is pretzelled so that I don't get deleted. 'Female people' is a term that I introduced to that post. For clarity.
