'Particularly when it comes to questions around women's safety and health, biological sex is important.' Parents need to be involved in schools.

Rishi Sunak is asked 'why should LGBT people vote Conservative?'

Ah I missed this and I’m not on Twitter sadly. RMW often posts about trans issues on LinkedIn but hasn’t posted about this

I’d be interested to see if RMW had tweeted about Rishi’s obviously sensible transphobic reply, but I can’t as RMW blocked me (despite the fact I’ve never interacted with RMW on Twitter or anywhere else).

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 13/02/2024 06:50

What a sensible answer!

The common as muck part of me mentally reflected that that Robin looks like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle. Not the reasoned response he was hoping for.

He's obviously had to get primed for these sorts of questions, which is great, it shows that he knows they're coming.

He's asked about the LGBT, and concentrates on the LGB, then when pushed about the T he concentrates on the children - and then the women.

i'm loving the direction of Travel.

It will be interesting to see how Starmer would handle the same question.

And I hope the questions get a little more specific as well.

Yeah Sunak's answer was near perfect. The thing is the election will NOT be won on LGB or T issues [no election ever has been], but the economy and the Tories are doomed there.

For our purposes though the fact it is a Labour weak spot and the Tories will target it is to our advantage. That strengthen's the gender crit left.

Perfect.

White must be seething that Rishi actually suggested ‘LGBT’ had anything to do with LGB. And women & children’s rights are surely beyond the pale.

Nice to see it confirmed that RMW doesn’t actually give a flying fuck about the LGB part in LGBT, isn’t it?

More saying the quiet bit out loud.

By appearing on GB News RW really is aligning with the Far Right!

Yes indeed.

duc748 · 13/02/2024 01:36

You wouldn't think getting past Sunak was a very high bar, but is Starmer even capable? He doesn't deserve anything.

PaperSky · 13/02/2024 01:29

RMW: Asks about LGBT

RS: Responds: same sex marriage, provisions for same sex couples in healthcare.

RMW: Issue should be less about the LGB and more about the T.

Lol.

Looked like a schoolchild being told off.
Which of course is what happens when reality hits fairytales.

Hicc · 13/02/2024 01:01

It's as if RMW feels there's a lot to be grumpy about these days.

hellsBells246 · 13/02/2024 00:55

Lol, no... 🐝

I loathe Tories but am with Sunak 100% on this one

HagoftheNorth · 12/02/2024 23:51

That’s really funny, RMW asked about LGBT, but then had to (effectively) admit the lack of interest in the LGB element - LGB T really needs splitting out more often!

BreadInCaptivity · 12/02/2024 23:41

He's right that nothing he said was (or should be) controversial.

It's utterly bizarre that we are in the situation that some people think that is.

It's the Labour Party that's being controversial in not being able to speak such facts freely because they are still trying to find some slippery middle ground. In part due to capture, the mistaken belief that GI is progressive and the worry that they will lose votes from a younger demographic.

I've spoiled my ballot too many times now waiting for Labour to get their act together.

I'm done with people telling me I should think of the bigger picture and not be a single issue voter.

But I'm done.

My vote will go to my GC Tory candidate and not the Labour candidate who thinks that womenhood is a matter of choice and not biology.

I feel totally unapologetic about that.

The only thing that would make me vote Labour was if I was in Rosie Duffield's constituency.

I'm going to land up voting fucking tory, amn't I?

The world has gone mad.

IKR.

It feels like a toss up between vote Tory or spoil ballot.

Unless PoW field a candidate here 🤞🏼

Fuck, I hate agreeing with the Briefcase Wanker.

HipTightOnions · 12/02/2024 22:36

It's amazing how much more plausible politicians are when they are saying something they actually believe in.

Boiledbeetle · 12/02/2024 22:29

I have the sudden urge to break into song

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo
Gallileo, Gallileo
Gallileo Figaro, magnifico
I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go (let him go)
Bismillah! We will not let you go (let him go)
Bismillah! We will not let you go (let me go)
Will not let you go (let me go)
Never, never, never, never let me go
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh, mama mia, mama mia
Mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me
For me
For me

As you were.
