'Particularly when it comes to questions around women's safety and health, biological sex is important.' Parents need to be involved in schools.

Rishi Sunak is asked 'why should LGBT people vote Conservative?'

You do know you sound bit like parents when I was a teen claiming sex education caused teen pregnancy?

Haha at this attempt

Well not that funny as your approach is woeful at safeguarding

Well I'm very surprised that pointing out the existence of right wing think tanks masquerading as "educational charities" has caused so much uproar.
Plus saying that adults have the right to parent their children as they see fit.....its hardly controversial

2 pages of @s. I wish I was as effective at getting noticed in real life.

Helleofabore · 15/02/2024 16:29

Whether it was intended to or not the "No school has been "busy socially transitioning children", don't be ridiculous" combined with the breezy "Much as you might dislike it, it is none of your beeswax how other parents handle their child's gender identity" and the lack of even reading the recommendations and engaging with them or the findings summary of the FOIs just comes across as dismissive.

It truly is remarkable for feminists and parents to be told : "Much as you might dislike it, it is none of your beeswax how other parents handle their child's gender identity" by someone on a feminist board on MUMSNET!

Again, this is just the same as women being told they cannot have anything to say about women in prison, unless they have been in prison. OR you cannot have anything to say about Parkrun unless you run or volunteer for Parkrun.

Fucking ludicrous.

I'm irritated about criticism of the use of the word busy.

It's almost as though yes, schools are indoctrinating children, and they're all growing up believing in gender identity, but unless loads schools are actually forcing transition on them, behind their parents back, then they're not 'bizzy' are they?

It's the nitpicking over the extent of it. When the extent of it is quite clearly significant.

Yes it is evident

72 per cent of schools are teaching that people have a gender identity that may be different from their biological sex.

Oh, for goodness sake, that's hardly any! And anyway, the figures come from a right wing think tank, funded by shadowy Tory billionaires.

Remember there is no definition of 'busy' on this thread, so busy can mean whatever anyone wants it to mean.

Heh! In a very real sense, we're ALL Humpty Dumpty, eh?

popebishop · 15/02/2024 11:27

Either AdamRyan hasn't seen the posts of parents like rogdmum on here over the years, or they are saying they are lying.

It's happening. I would far prefer it if AdamR was right, though.

I shall be very disappointed in there isn't a swastika flag hanging from every window.

You'd better buy a bundle to take with you to distribute, on the off chance that anybody's neglected to fly one.

Datun · 15/02/2024 10:13

AdamRyan

Mermaids, Stonewall, and other outsourced groups have indoctrinated thousands of children in schools. And the staff.

  • 72 per cent of schools are teaching that people have a gender identity that may be different from their biological sex

Children are being told that if their interests aren't strictly controlled for sex, then they may be transgender.

So much so that the government has had to instruct schools not to say it!!

Where have you been if you don't realise this is going on?

Kucinghitam · 15/02/2024 10:10

I guess we're in N+1 territory next...

Much as you might dislike it, it is none of your beeswax how other parents handle their child's gender identity.

Did you miss the thread about the four-year-old boy who started school as a girl and the girls in his class, including his immediate peer group, only found out four years later when he started flashing his penis in the toilets?

And how the girl, imagining he was her best friend, and treated him as one, holding his hand, etc, became depressed and withdrawn and wouldn't go to school as a result. At eight years old.

Of course it affects other children. Utterly traumatic to think that your best friend has turned out to be a boy and that everyone, including the entire school, has lied to you for four years.

AdamRyan · 14/02/2024 16:14

No school has been "busy socially transitioning children", don't be ridiculous.
Teachers are trying their best to manage an epidemic of children self-identifying as trans. Some of those children may be from abusive homes where there are safeguarding concerns about disclosing to parents. Not all children have lovely supportive parents with their children's best interests at heart.

My colleague's school did just that -- socially transitioned his 13-year-old daughter, without telling her parents. She is the typical profile: shy, neurodivergent, and identified as trans while her father was in the throes of a life-changing medical emergency. I don't know what the fuck they were playing at, frankly.

lifeturnsonadime · 15/02/2024 09:26

And this morning on yet another thread, Adam wants the Labour Party to close down these 'think tanks', on Tufton Street down. Post at 9.03.

I'm starting to find this really sinister. We are only allowed to consider reports agreed to be adequately 'left wing'? And all other opinions should be shut down?

Good grief.

The Civil Service Fast Stream (accelerator programme) Assessment Centre used to be in Tufton Street. Explains a lot!

Really it doesn't. It is prime Westminster real estate.

And yet, while we have to put up with Jonathan Liew ‘wouldn’t it be interesting if every female event was won by a transwoman’, we get Sean Ingle who just reports the facts.

Almost like even within organisations that may have a political alignment there is … well staff who deal with facts in their published work. Oh my!! Whodathunkit!

And… that published work should be taken on an individual basis… oh but, that is just my own bias and my own opinion.

Edited

I’d prefer the recommendations below to Liew misogyny any day.

Only a fool would celebrate the latter and refuse to engage with the former due to a street address

True Helleofabore, I'm sure that the Rolls Royce in house magazine is more accurate however. I may start writing pissed off letters to them instead.
Are they non partisan do you know?

Helleofabore · 15/02/2024 09:00

That is the problem with buildings, isn’t it? You get the Guardian sharing a building with Rolls Royce.

Rightsraptor · 15/02/2024 09:00

You've inspired me, @ResisterRex, to go for a wander down Tufton Street next time I'm in London.
