Not sure what I've missed as I've been away from socials for a couple of weeks.
But what's Happened? Stock is leaving twitter, KJK posted about the disappointment of your generals giving away what you e fought for.
Is this about pronouns?

That's a shame, I think Stock's a good writer - better than KJK in my opinion, although Kellie-Jay has many other qualities I admire.

No idea. The only thing I noticed last week was that she was getting her old tweets about Brianna Ghey tweeted back to her (justifiably really as in the one I saw she was trying to point score by making false statements about the verdict before the judgement had been made, which now looks bad in light of the actual judgement).

Not sure what you're going on about but this isn't what this is about.

Well I did say I had no idea, lol

As far as I can tell the almighty spat was triggered by Janice Turner using 'she/her' pronouns for Debbie Hayton in The Times. Many objected to this. Turner said she did it out of courtesy. She follows the MNHQ line of correctly sexing criminals but not polite men like Hayton.

She called GCs who disagreed 'ultras'.

Many big names on Twitter sided with Turner.

The women who think pronouns are a problem because it makes it unclear whether a man or woman is being talked about promptly took on the name of 'ultras' much like they use terf, and dinosaurs, similarly daft insults.

Much argument ensued and lots of accusations of "compelled speech" towards those who don't think we should call men "she".

That was the start of it anyway.

Is this about pronouns?

Yes.

One side seem to be accusing the other side of being a safeguarding risk and pandering to fetishists. At the same time the other side are making accusations of authoritarianism and compelled speech. It’s all got very nasty and messy.

I don't know what's going on. Seems to be an almighty spat that I can't put together from tweets.
