Exclusive in Diva, following a reception at a LGBT+ Labour event in Parliament on 29 Jan:

https://diva-magazine.com/2024/01/29/exclusive-keir-starmer-lgbtqia-rights/

"“We’ll strengthen the law, so every category of hate crime is treated as an aggravated offence,” Starmer said. “We’ll cut NHS waiting lists for LGBT+ people waiting for urgent physical and mental health care. We’ll modernise the Gender Recognition Act. We’ll implement a full, trans-inclusive, ban on all forms of conversion therapy. We fully support the view that conversion therapy is psychologically damaging abuse.”

“We are committed to a decade of national renewal and will work with all the organisations in this room tonight so every child can feel proud and confident in who they are, to stand up for LGBT+ rights at home and abroad and to get Britain’s future back.”

The mention of children is unclear but must have a background to the full speech? LGBT Labour hasn't tweeted about it but others have. Rayner and Dodds also in attendance.

Who was the Labour MP who went on about ‘block all terfs’

I’d wager they’re on board with gender ideology

And Lammy and his hatred of women / rights hoarding dinosaurs

Where are those screen shots of the Labour lot, such as the one graced by Starmer’s face in pp

I wrote to all pro women in the WM debate

Majority Cons pro women, majority Labour gender or TWAW

Labour very thin on the ground, only two

This one?

Anyway, the Conservative party is "packed the rafters" with misogynistics and sex pests, yet people on here still think they are a good voting choice if you are a feminist.

Once again, where are all these 'people on here' saying the Tories are a good voting choice for feminists? All I can see is people saying 'well we can have bastards who might preserve some vestige of women's rights and safeguarding, or bastards who won't.What a shit choice'. Why are you so intent on believing that posters just want to vote Tory? It's contrary to the evidence.

It's a standard tactic to try to discredit those of us saying we're politically homeless / in a really shit position. 'Ooh, you're just a shy Tory, just admit it,' is the usual response. It's boring as a tactic, frankly.

Because of the numbers of posters saying they will because "they are the only party protecting women's rights" despite the fact women are demonstrably in a worse position after 14 years of the Tories Confused

It makes no sense. Turkeys voting for Christmas as the farmer promised he'd throw them some nice corn.

Did KIS ever say anything about Jess P adding males to her list?

She writes about it here and is back in as I said above. Disappointing really but for her being on the Left and on the 'right side' seems to comes first.

Yeah. She's not a proper feminist, is she? Just another woman, who doesn't understand feminist issues selling us out to Labour because it makes her feel worthy......

Or.....

Bloody brilliant feminist exercising her democratic right and getting shit on here for "wrongthink", despite having done more for women than any of us

Are they? Who would you say is a TRA? Maybe your definition of TRA is different to mine, I can't think of any MPs who are TRAs. The only Trans MP is Conservative.

Anyway, the Conservative party is "packed the rafters" with misogynistics and sex pests, yet people on here still think they are a good voting choice if you are a feminist.

Labour MP Lloyd Russell moyles (rearrange into right order) Is a raging TRA and I'd bet the Labour party member who phoned me the other day to discuss who i would vote for and got all pissy and ended the call when I tried to talk about women is more TRA leaning than gender critical leaning.

A lot of words to confirm she's a socialist (and not a single issue one), and swipe at some women who are womaning in a right-wing way for the wrong reasons, and insist that some invisible people are working hard within Labour for the right reasons.

The invisible people are invisible to me, and their achievements are also invisible, so until I get some visibility so I can trust what I see, then insisting there is progress in the right direction is just shouting into the wind.

If KIS or others of these undercover Labour heroes could break ranks and speak some actual truth about their machinations and Labour's intentions that would be grand.

I'd like to vote Labour but I won't until someone properly explains - with definitions - their policy on GI/T+ in words that I actually understand and believe.

Pothole you must report back from the BIG BUSINESS CONFERENCE. Perhaps in poetry form?

Whatever you do, don't go in a big 🦖 outfit. Or ask any awkward wimmin questions.

That would be awful.

She's back in and pushing for a Labour win.

That doesn't confirm that the Labour party have let her join. I remember that tweet in October, and at the time I was under the impression she still wasn't a member.

How does that work then? It says "to or from" trans. Therapists and parents can equally be convicted for child says I'm trans, BANG they are transitioned

Could you give us an example of a British doctor, or therapist, who's been convicted for telling a child that they are trans, please.

I'll put the kettle on.

So, the Labour Party is tweeting speeches from ex-conservative, ex Stonewall UK Iain Anderson.

Has Karen Ingala Smith been allowed to join the Labour party yet, or is she still persona non grata for running female-only domestic violence services?

I think TRA land is as relevant to the real world as MRA land or flat-earther land so I'm not sure why you want me to consider what they think? They've blown it, the horse has bolted with Isla Bryson and Karen White, nothing is happening because TRAs say so.

Except that the Labour Party is packed to the rafters with TRAs...

I was most of the way through before I realised that the staring eyes were supposed to be authentic.

I kept expecting it to switch to a Michael Spicer in a Room Next Door sketch.

Ha! That, exactly! 😄

Be fair Arabella. Not sure you'd see Penfold at a BIG BUSINESS CONFERENCE <stares like absolute loon>

That's the special preserve of...sweaty men who get handed their arse about males in women's spaces and find their true home with Labour?

Brings back memories

I wasn't clear in my post - i meant the government (Labour or Conservative or anything else) are not going to make changes just because TRAs are demanding it. Those days are over due to numerous nasty males amply demonstrating that women have reasonable concerns.

I was also responding to someone else

What makes you think those days are over? I agree that there are many and egregious examples of multiple males showing exactly why women are concerned, but I can't see much cause to think Labour are paying any mind, at all. If this week is anything to go by, quite the reverse.

ConcertaFirstTimer · 01/02/2024 23:01

ifIwerenotanandroid · 01/02/2024 15:49

Tell Labour to sort itself out, then. It's their choice. They can only change themselves, & only they can change themselves.

If Labour makes itself unpopular, you can't just tell people they shouldn't mind & should vote for them anyway. If nobody wants what Labour are offering, it's Labour's fault for not laying out a better offer.

I didn't. I'm not voting Labour. Haven't for years. I don't trust or respect them. But however inept and wrong-footed and bigoted they are, they are not totally heartless, self-serving shits and the current Tories are. I could never ever vote Tory unless they have a compassion U-turn.
