Unfortunately because other media wont shine a light on it. I never read gthe DM and wont click on any links to it (cant anyway as I have ad blocker), I was a Guardian reader until all this started. Now I wont read that rag either.

The conceit of "we are better educated and read the guardian, so we are right and you are wrong" is part of the reason TRA's got so far. Brainless be kinder's falling over themselves to prioritise privileged men.

I think “do gooder” is used across the spectrum, isn’t it? I’ve heard it used against the lifeboat volunteers rescuing the people crossing the channel in small boats and against hunt saboteurs.

Anyway, my point remains that using insults that leave the door open for the argument to be dismissed is unhelpful. The article would be more powerful with bare facts.

The use of these terms is polarising and the TQ+ activists will just use this as further evidence that GC is RW and therefore bad. I’m not saying this is justified or logical, but it feeds that mentality.

I'm not sure why you'd view “do gooder” as a pejorative coming from the right wing. "Middle-class do-gooders" have always been criticised by working class people.

Luckily we know a) it’s not true, people who are “GC” who believe in reality come from across the political spectrum in the same way people who know the earth is a sphere do b) it’s become yawn-inducing to bother with people who don’t believe in this reality either.

I couldn’t care less where people think my political beliefs lie based on being grounded in reality, as if them screaming “you’re right wing!” is any sort of decent insult that will make me pause for thought 🤣🤣.

Thanks for the link, yes it's spot on and I'm very grateful to The Daily Mail for publishing it. I also think that , if reading the correct newspaper has become more important than finding out what's going on, then it's little wonder our children have got into such a tragic and shocking mess.

it’s something that I’ve always been a bit baffled by. We know the media have huge persuasive powers and all the media I read are very critical about the issue - and as such, they cover the bulk of the population. The Sun and the Mail are the widest read newspapers in the UK. So how has this gained such widespread traction, particularly when the census showed it’s such a small minority of people affected (and even than was over blown)

The Morning Star newspaper is also a friend of women.
They have had some great supportive articles. Ironically two papers poles apart politically.

This is so clear to me, i am baffled why so many well meaning people just don't see it. If the false equivalence with LGB experience was true, where are all the middle age trans identifying females speaking out who couldn't come out when they were younger?

The only people i hear about seeking to transition in later life are male, yet somehow we are led to believe their experience and motivations are exactly the same as the wave of teenage girls we are seeing today. You only have to take a look at the latest from Reduxx to see just how dangerous that is.
