On 22-12-22 the GRR Bill was passed and a very angry woman @GussieGrips raised her skirt in Holyrood whilst shouting that the politicians were terrible people. Today the GRR Bill is dead and Nic no longer FM. What a difference a year makes. Merry Terfmas! Long live the merkin!

It’s a year tomorrow since the gender reform bill was passed by Scottish Parliament. Yesterday SNP/Green government admitted defeat and filed it under “pending” probably for ever. Here’s my column from last Christmas - as I predicted, women never gave up

I may agree with a lot of Joanna Cherry’s views on GRR but she is deluded if she thinks Nicola Sturgeon and her acolytes would have written a Scottish constitution that would have stopped this, especially when you consider how the SNP totally misrepresented the decision of a Scottish judge in a Scottish Court in parliament today (and their ambition to regulate the judiciary).

The fuckwit Shona Robison -

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/12/20/shona-robison-refuse-apologise-nicola-sturgeon-self-id-law/

(An interesting point- the link I wanted to add is not the one above - it keeps redirecting to a different article (Conservative party say GRR bill will reappear) but with the same photo. Even if I click directly on the 'SNP Minister refuses to... link on the Telegraph site, it still redirects. Odd).

Anyway, the gist of the disappearing link was that our dear Shona won't apologise to the feminist groups who told her over and over about the issues.

She's the same fuckwit who said this...

That's an interesting - and very sinister - thread. Thanks @Waitwhat23

Lucy and her colleagues have been marvellous throughout this. It's outrageous their calm, expert advice was disregarded.

MBM and For Women Scotland deserve bloody medals for their services to women in Scotland. We'd have been fucked without them.

Obviously pleased, but simultaneously fuming about the money they have spent on this.

highame · 20/12/2023 07:46

What happened to the Green's red line. Have they made a statement?

Boiledbeetle · 19/12/2023 23:10

This is nice and clear and I think helps show why, if Labour do get in to Westminster, they won't be able to pass anything as extreme as was proposed up here. The cat is out of the bag now and the objections that were ignored have been clearly demonstrated to be real (thanks Isla!). Labour may not care but it's obvious now that the general public do and I just don't think they'd be able to push it through under be kind, no debate, you're all bigots in the way the SNP did. Let's hope so anyway.
