I suspect that giving these kind of people sufficient airtime is going to be an important aspect of the sensible portion of the US population to stop sticking their heads in the ‘be kind’ sand and start asking questions about the ideologies these activists are promoting.

Why would you categorise mentally ill violent extremists into left or right political views?

It is very clear that there is plenty of violence inciting right wing extreme groups, it’s a very topical issue. But I suppose that’s not an indication of the “logical end” to right wing views in your opinion?

The book is promoted as 'an explosive post-apocalyptic novel that follows trans women and trans men on a grotesque journey of survival.' It has been lauded as 'visceral' 'gripping' and 'brilliant' by NPR and the New Yorker.

From the commentary I read on KWF it was grotesque bilge that would never have got any attention in the author hadn't been trans.

I can think of a few!

Some people are also purely given attention just for the horrid things they say. My earliest memory of this happening was Katie Hopkins.

There was a recent whole thing on TikTok of young people suddenly claiming that Osama Bin Laden was actually right. They had to delete the hashtag to try to stop it spreading.

I think this often happens once there's a generation young enough to not have known it
