As you say Tinsel, even politely engaging is not an honest exchange, it's always a manipulation. You know this best of all.

Like the telephone scammers who say Good morning how are you today?
It's a means to an end with their eye on getting your bank account details and rippping you off. Same technique.

I have to log out sometimes when I see those who think they know better endlessly engaging. I was here pre DH, at one point I had to stay away for a long time. It wasn't doing my blood pressure much good.

This Board taught me to listen to what women here are telling me. When there's a heads up, it's for a genuine reason.

TinselAngel · 10/11/2023 17:02

My last ex had a cut throat razor and he used to hang the strop on the hook on the back of my bedroom door. Made us look like a right pair of pervs.

The strop or the razor? 😮

I've never thought of deploying the razor. Obviously not manning properly.

Cutthroat razor for me. Sharpened on a leather strop which also comes in handy for maintaining discipline within the household.

But yes the women who politely engaged with Hayton on here are partly responsible for his rise through the ranks of supposed feminist organisations and him obtaining a second career in journalism. He has played women very cleverly and gradually escalated with progressive disclosures, all to protect primarily himself in the name of caring about women's rights.

I for one am entirely consistent as I started the Great Mumsnet Pushback Against Hayton, following the Stella O'Malley documentary and have been consistently rude to and critical of him on every form of media possible.

Of course I'm a real man. I have a man's brain. Although I'm a bit weird and complicated. I go to a Turkish barber locally, he's a wizard with a hot flannel.

Like Gandalf doing the washing up?

LarkLane · 10/11/2023 16:42

RapidOnsetGenderCritic · 10/11/2023 16:37

Surely a real man would allow his nasal hair free rein and it would become part of a matted mass of nasal hair, moustache and beard. As I'm not a real man, just biologically male, obviously I let the barber trim any excess nasal hair, bushy eyebrows, and unkempt facial hair.

whether any of those posters (some of whom are on this thread) are or were responsible for what Debbie Hayton was already doing back in 2018, in both the Times article and beforehand, and continues to do today.
Well he very rarely comes on here any more so we achieved that much.

ArthurbellaScott · 10/11/2023 16:40

I have a nasal weave.

RapidOnsetGenderCritic · 10/11/2023 16:37

LarkLane · 10/11/2023 16:29

Mine are ginger. Removed with pliers and then shipped to Scotland to be turned into Irn Bru.

I just rub my face on a rock. It doesn't quite get rid of the beard but it gives a nice sort of scoured finish.

isn't that manly exfoliating?

LarkLane · 10/11/2023 16:29

JanesLittleGirl · 10/11/2023 16:24

BTW, how do you chaps manage your nasal hair?

BonfireLady · 10/11/2023 16:26

FFS.
The first time I called out the red flags I was clearly too nice about it. Point taken on that front ladies.

I have no interest in being a bit part in any performative fetish art entitled Nurses Are Kind in Prison so I'm going to write generically, rather than directly to anyone. The script writer either wilfully or nefariously doesn't even recognise which Artistic Grand Performance genre it falls under. Although whether they do or not is irrelevant.

Many people who have mental health issues find it difficult to STOP THE FUCK what they are doing and get help. As stated previously, I have no emotional attachment to the outcome of whether this help is sought and is successful but I would hope for the person's sake (and anyone in the life IRL) that they at least tried. Parading narcissm around on the internet is not going to achieve anything.

Ps apologies to the poster who told me on a Mumsnet DM that this was narcissm. I agreed on the DM and the comment that I wrote after that on this thread was my swansong message to the narcissistic person, both acknowledging the content that had been spoken about in an interesting way (very much like the Debbie Hayton thread, where lots of posters were engaging politely with Debbie, even though Debbie had written an article in the Times which was very self-centred and narcissistic) and calling out the red flags that had happened after I had left the thread to which I was referring. It was never my intention but by saying that I had "enjoyed" the conversations on that thread may well have been hurtful to the person who DMd me when they saw that phrasing. If that was the case, I am sorry.

One thing I flatly refuse to accept though is responsibility for any transwoman tramping over threads or in to a support group. I would strongly suggest to anyone that wants to hold me responsible for this that they take a read through what was said to Debbie Hayton from multiple posters and then take a moment to think about whether any of those posters (some of whom are on this thread) are or were responsible for what Debbie Hayton was already doing back in 2018, in both the Times article and beforehand, and continues to do today. We're ALL saying no in various different ways. It's being ignored.

Well, as a man I prefer a proper badger hair shaving brush and a solid shaving soap. With a proper razor with blades. There’s a lovely barbers in Jermyn Street in St James’s London, which sells all the best gentleman’s products. I go there once I’ve bought my annual pair of churches shoes

Oh. So no to Venus razors then?

TinselAngel · 10/11/2023 16:12

Is that near the good bowler hat shop?

LarkLane · 10/11/2023 16:10

That's where I'm going wrong, I'll change to a solid shaving soap as I'm a martyr to the shaving rash. Thanks pal.
Jermyn St. as a recommendation comes up so often on these threads, I'll make it my business to go, next time i'm up in the City for A Very Important Meeting.
Cheers.

@Hanlonsamazer I'm sorry to read that things are still tough - especially coming up to this time of year. When things aren't great, sanctimonious pricks are even more tedious than usual.
Here to listen anytime, just DM me if you want a rant, or just a friendly wave.
Willing you on out of the shit. I'm sure you will do it. x
