Another interview with Izzard saying these "arguments will drift away", it's "live and let live", its a right wing ideology etc.

Exactly.

Gay rights did not rely upon taking AWAY the rights of a whole other group of people. It did not affect other men or women.

Trans "rights" rely SOLELY on taking away the rights of other people. The two cannot co-exist (in the way that Eddie and the TRAs seem to demand) without one party (namely women) being disadvantaged.

As for apologizing in 10 years time?

There are no swear words that are strong enough to tell Eddie and his little sycophantic mate where to go and what to do when they get there.

EI is an intelligent person who used to understand the difference between "wearing clothes designed for women" and "being a woman". So I do wonder what's going on and how the ideology has taken hold here. I don't think for a second that Eddie can't understand the logical arguments, the statistics about the dangers to women of various services being mixed-sex, and the evidence of harm being done to kids (and other transitioners).

Is it more likely that a well-known transvestite realised the current climate provides the chance for more publicity, attention and the freedom to use women's spaces for his own purposes? EI still plays male roles FFS. It doesn't look to me like EI really thinks "I'm a real woman", so much as "I get to do what I like at the expense of actual women, this is great"
