The Guardian have just posted an invitation to put questions to Eddie Izzard. This feels like a great opportunity to get a well worded, gender critical question out there. The thing is I'm a bit stuck, collectively we must be able to come up with something though!

Post your questions for Eddie Izzard

Whether running for parliament or in multiple marathons, performing on film and in multilingual standup, the star will be here to tell you how on earth she does it

'So Denise, (welch) I'm sorry that you've let yourself go'

Eddie when did you decide that 'your clothes' were really girl clothes all along and why did you change your mind?

I've gone in soft.

Hi Eddie, I was always a big fan of your progressive views on fashion being open to all. Do you think that the definition of clothing and make up as being either 'girl mode' or 'boy mode is actually a step backwards in terms of breaking down the social construct of gender, in comparison to your previously held view that a dress wasn't for a woman, it was for an individual.

Good question. Will you tell us if he answers.

Eddie why are you standing in Brighton? Do you think it will be easy there?

FUCK OFF WE DON'T WANT YOU

StoneColdAlibi · 09/10/2023 13:03

Someone has asked about whether the term 'action transvestite' was just used as part of a comedy persona, which is possibly as close as they'll get.
I feel I need to try though.

Comments are pre-moderated, so can't imagine anything critical will get through. Someone's already asked if Eddie likes popcorn. Right-o.

It's okay to ask him for make up tips though!

"To quote yourself, when do you feel you stopped surfing that corner and went straight to 'looking like a dickhead'?"

Perfect!

Stay cool, Muffin 🤣

It would be great, but there’s absolutely no way they’ll ask a challenging question. They would only ask anything GC if they were able to make it sound ridiculous, so that he could reply with a putdown.
In an ideal world I’d like to know what he has to say about that psychological condition that we’re forbidden to mention. The one that mainly affects middle aged men who like pictures of themselves looking, er, “attractive”.

Beowulfa · 09/10/2023 12:39

Eddie, why don't the women of Afghanistan just go into "boy mode" if they want to attend university?
