I was at Let Women Speak Dublin. Flew over from UK as we heard Irish women were really scared. They thanked us for coming. Met some on the way to the square bring escorted and they walked with us. In the crowd many had come with their husband because they were so frightened.

Best policing I've ever seen and I've been to Brighton, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham, Portsmouth and London. Proper crowd barriers on the transactivists side along with a dead zone.

The crowds were evenly matched. I suspect many women didn't come through fear and the fear if being recognised.

Graham arrived the crowd cheered.
Kellie arrived the crowd cheered louder!

We could hear! Free speech does include the right to be heard. The trans supporters were loud and had a loud speakers and a megaphone. Mostly it was a bloke screaming chants:
Posie parker is a fascist
Nazi scum off our streets
Trans rights now
You've got fascists on your side
Trans rights are men's rights (we are pretty sure this was the chant).
But mostly we could hear quite well.

The women who spoke were amazing. Helen Joyce kicked off briefly. A lesbian who was shaking and in tears, The countess who spoke about mother's and babies, a woman talking about her sexual abuse from age 7 (whilst the morons danced to music unaware if that was being said). Irish women are amazing they are warriors. The teenage girl who wrote and spoke her poem I am not a dress at Belfast spoke and did a funny song. Wow to have that much courage at 15. She was upset that some of her teachers were on the trans side.

I didn't realise that Self ID clipped in without any debate. Consultation and debate is urgently required.

There were more men than usual. They were asked to stand at the back. I had no idea who they were. I guess a lot were male relatives. They were quiet and they listened. The most intrusive men were from the Press.

The trans soviet flags disturbed me. The Bear Pride flag was creepy. This mammies for trans kids are bewildering.

My only gripe was that both groups were penned in. The beauty of the didn't us catching passer boys giving them a leaflet and having conversations but that opportunity was lost due to.the police keeping us safe.

A transactivist walked freely around our side with a patronising sign. Noone was bothered. Noone confronted him, abused him or assaulted him. We read his sign and got back to listening. Imagine if one if us had done that we would have been chewed up and spat out.

I saw him, young guy in a purple rain jacket. His sign was wordy and confusing. I picked up on the "hate" bit of his sign and told him - "no-one here hates you" - he looked a bit disappointed and wandered off again.

He's a male supporter of homophobia and transphobia. Fixed that for you.

If he really is such a great "woman's rights supporter" then I'm sure he has a wife who is supportive of him.

I've got a question for you

imagine if he said tomorrow that he'd said whatever it is that you think he said but only because he was confused as he's been battling with inner demons but was now comfortable enough to tell the world he's was a woman called Barbara what would you say then?

IcakethereforeIam · 17/09/2023 23:35

I think they're like this. Beard and all.

TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2023 23:29

He really isn't lol.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2023 23:29

If he really is such a great "woman's rights supporter" then I'm sure he has a wife who is supportive of him.

So for eg gay men can't be supporters of women's rights by definition, according to you? Hot take.

LizaBizza · 17/09/2023 23:28

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2023 23:27

No, he's a male supporter of women's sex based rights. Fixed it for you, you're confused.

He really is your leader lol.

IwantToRetire · 17/09/2023 23:28

Just to say I have now listened to the video and what really stands out is the energy!

Maybe Dublin is always like that but the speakers and the crowd were just buzzing.

And what a range of subjects. And ages, certainly more than one young woman.

Would have been good to have a discussion about some of them just because not just those of us in the UK but globally probably dont know much about this constitutional(?) statement about women and mothers.

And the issue about freedom of speech / hate crime.

But what it has also made me realise is how the media just treats it all as a bit of shouting match between 2 groups.

Surely a newspaper covering an event that is a series of speeches should at least reference some of the issues raised.

And also the contrast of those really basic issues (lesbians dont have dicks!) and all the time the aggressive shouting in the background.

Just illustrates how non-sensical the accusations made against LWS and gender critical feminists are.

And yet somehow the news media doesn't want that to be public.

Really strange when you think how many really bonkers speakers on Brexist were faithfully reported as though the words had nuggets of truth.

I wonder what the numbers are world wide of those, not just women, who know that women are biological females? And given that why the media never acknowledges that.

Just think what could have been achieved for women in the media had been as on board with women's basic human rights as they have been with spreading the trans agenda.

Really great to see and hear so many fiesty women. Flowers

MavisMcMinty · 17/09/2023 23:27

Yes, I should probably have said “possibly”, with a big ol’ question mark at the end of the sentence. I’d hate to cast unmentionable aspersions.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2023 23:15

He's a male supporter of women's sex based rights..Women led the fightback against this bullshit and still do. He has paid a price for his support.

He's a male supporter of homophobia and transphobia. Fixed that for you.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2023 23:22

Eeeuuw, so he’s probably getting a sexual kick out of being scolded by women on the internet.

You might think so, I couldn't possibly comment.

IcakethereforeIam · 17/09/2023 23:22

Regress flag?

BlessedKali · 17/09/2023 23:21

im actually thinking that flat earthers should be represented on the progress flag...

BlessedKali · 17/09/2023 23:20

do you know who I trully feel sorry for? all the flat earthers and the flat-earthphobia they have to deal with every day, from the rest of the planet. It must be so hard for them to live every day in such fear for their existence, amongst those who do not hold the false belief that the earth is flat.

I think probably more like 54. Some people never grow up or lose their entitlement.
