I even find this difficult as a bi woman. (Pre marriage) I would happily have sex with men and women, but TW and TW I don't find sexually attractive. This feels a lot like subconscious bias though and I do feel guilty

I think bi people get pressured to say they, because they like men and women, should accept trans people as sexual partners in way that is arguably just as bad as this issue of lesbians and trans women.

What you are attracted to is both biological sexes, and the difference. Trans people are making themselves something else, a simulacrum of the sex they want to be. That is appearance, not sexuality, and it does not come with all great things about biological sex. As human beings, we are attracted to biology, and that is just not only what you look like.

Froodwithatowel · 13/08/2023 11:21

Sex is not something that female people are born with a duty to provide on a social justice system, training themselves to overcome their feelings while lying back and thinking of Stonewall.

Fgs.

Women are as entitled to enjoy sex as men are. And women should run a bloody mile from any prospective sexual partner of any sex or identity, where that partner is not fully interested in and caring about their consent, their pleasure, their equality in the relationship.

This is women being trained into abandoning their autonomy over their feelings and their bodies in order to service the wishes of male people, despite the fact that any male person wishing for this is dodgier than fuck and the kind of person Lundy Bancroft writes books about. Wake up ffs. Re read the pinned thread at the top of the relationships board: You deserve a loving partner who meets your needs equally and with enjoyment, being born female did not land you with a duty to take the shitty end of the stick so that those born male can fuck about without feeling bad about it.

Why? Don't feel guilty. We are allowed to be attracted to whoever we want, and we aren't obliged to be attracted to ppl we're not attracted to.

Absolutely. I’m a straight woman but I have a certain physical type that makes me go ‘pwoar’ - we all have preferences and we don’t need to apologise for who we are attracted to.

@Blondebutnotlegally I'm bi and I'm not attracted to trans identifying people either.

We need to stop apologising for that. There's nothing wrong with having a preference.

So what should be a nice fun evening for lesbians to chat and flirt has now been spoilt by selfish entitled men - sorry women with penises - who can’t possibly not be included in something hat has sweet fa to do with them.

Rhetorical question - does anyone think his would happen if there was a gay mens dating event? Would trans men be throwing their toys out the pram because homosexual men don’t want sex with people with vagina? Think we know the answer to that one

In my observations, most transmen are lesbians - mutilated ones - but still females interested in other females.

Blondebutnotlegally · 13/08/2023 11:09

Sorry TW and TM

She's held events there for 4.5 years. The pub has been perfectly happy to host them. But now a couple of angry men have been told it's women only, they've set up a bullying and harassment campaign and got it closed down.

Shocking homophobia.

OwningAllMyMistakes · 13/08/2023 07:20

I would add that from little knowledge and experience I have of transmen gay men wouldn’t be put off by a trans man with a vagina.

You need to check out OJ’s response to him being “interested” in a transman. He is a gay man with most definite views about it…

ArabeIIaScott · 13/08/2023 10:39

Surely she has a pretty good case for direct discrimination?

Maybe worth writing to EHRC, Sex Matters, etc.

WeWereInParis · 13/08/2023 10:39

For reasons I won’t go into, I know quite a lot of gay male paramedics/ambulance crew. If they ever have to deliver a baby they are fighting off vomiting just from having to be that close to a vagina.

What an absolutely absurd thing to say.

Snowypeaks · 13/08/2023 10:37

If she can face it, Jenny Watson should take the pub chain to court. Or at least send a solicitor's letter, quoting Julie Bindel's and Joanna Cherry's cases. We have to show that we will be at least as much of a PITA as the gender zealots and that the law is on our side.

SamW98 · 13/08/2023 10:34

Clymene · 13/08/2023 10:30

The organiser has posted on Twitter that the pub has stopped the speed dating nights. They're a massive chain.

Ffs. So the entitled men get their own way yet again.

I get the pub chain doesn’t want the grief from TRA groups but when will this BS end?

What absolute bollocks. And so offensive to gay men.

From the article

Ms Watson told The Mail on Sunday: 'Last year, a person turned up sporting a purple latex outfit… and an erection.

'Another time, a trans woman came into the female toilet and pushed their body at a woman who was upset and told me after. It got me thinking that this isn't fair on women.'

This time though it appears the TRA reported her just gif what she’d posted on SM. Unlikely they were even interested in attending they just wanted to cause drama

I have intentionally not read the link to the Paper that Supported the Blackshirts, so apologies if this has been mentioned.

Are there actually any people born male who want to attend, or is it just someone thinking they are showing how supportive they are to trans people by objecting?

In a 2019 study, only 3.1% of straight (and non-trans) people were willing to date a trans person.

A summary of the study by the main author (Karen Blair) has this conclusion: We won’t be able to say, as a society, that we are accepting of trans citizens until they are also included within our prospective dating pools; at the very least, on a hypothetical basis.

So, not only must everyone accept that TWAW/TMAM in schools, toilets, hospitals, refuges, prisons, short lists, sport etc but that ‘acceptance’ must also extend to having sex with them.

It is beyond belief that academics such as Karen Blair firstly propagate this thinking and secondly, fail to see how their argument is totalitarian ‘right think’ as well as deeply deeply disturbing.

Who will date a trans person? | Fifteen Eighty Four | Cambridge University Press

In a recent study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, 87.5% of the participants who were asked this same question only checked off the cisgender options and excluded transgender and non-binary individuals from their hypotheti...

What the fuck, then they're ridiculous or being hyperbolic to be 'humorous'. Genuinely if someone is that repulsed by genitalia encountered in a healthcare setting then they should find a new job.

WTAF?

Dear lord.

The prefix abro- comes from the Greek word for delicate and graceful.[1]
