This shows the arrest of a teenage autistic girl by about 5 police officers. From what I can make out it is for a 'hate' crime. She apparently said a police officer was a Lesbian. Her Nan is a lesbian - that police officer is like my Nan.

I cannot comprehend the mindset of these officers.

But how can that sensibly happen without taking resources away from elsewhere? Do we really want the police shelving rape and assault cases because they have to hit that 100% target on shoplifting?

dimorphism · 28/08/2023 11:55

They are shielded by their mates but they are also shielded by the system. That's the problem.

It's becoming clearer and clearer that Carrick and Couzens are pretty good exemplars of a lot of police officers, albeit at the extreme end. But Couzens was probably escalating for years before he ended up committing murder. After the non-response to his flashing in Mcdonalds presumably he thought he could do literally anything and get away with it.

He was escalating for years and his colleagues all knew about him. They nicknamed him "Rapist". God knows how many more there are just like him that are being shielded by their disgraceful mates.

I hope the apology and settlement of the civil proceedings will rebuild her confidence in the police and start the healing process. said DCC Bacon

But it won't, will it? Of course it won't. The police officers involved and those making the decision that a woman saying hurty words on twitter is cause to rough her up and imprison her without human rights (e.g. her medication) have not been disciplined or sacked. So it's bound to happen again.

What those police officers did was criminal. If members of the public did that, they'd be arrested for assault and imprisonment. The reasons for the 'arrest' were always rubbish and clearly so. Abusers in the police think their job gives them the license to do illegal things and abuse women, and it seems they're right to think that.

Good for her for speaking out.

The Louise Badman case is jaw dropping, in what context whatsoever would the conduct of the Police be proportionate? I suspect it was a slow night for the coppers involved and they went to her house to pass the time. Or they were stupid enough to think 'Badman' was a description.

I hope the money helps with her recovery.

And another.

'Dear@SurreyPolice
@SurreyPCC
I would be very keen to understand under which legal theory you have sought to impeed Mrs Farrow’s lawful conduct in this way? This is a matter of significance and concern across all UK nations and I would therefore be grateful if you could set out your reasoning for this intervention in detail. I intend to raise this and other policing matters directly with Home Secretary@SuellaBraverman
and Secretary of State for Justice@AlexChalkChelt
soon after I return to Parliament w/c 4th September. You can write to me here [email protected] Thank you in advance'

Good to see Neale Hanvey MP raising this.

So will anyone else who tweets a shout out to reddux be in line for a warning from the police or is it just Caroline? Is it part of her bail conditions not to use twitter/social media? I hope she takes them to the cleaners.

Maaate · 26/08/2023 20:43

any non-crime incident which is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by hostility or prejudice.

Wait, what?

Even in the batshit upsidedown bizarroworld we find ourselves in, how does this relate to taking a photo?

DerekFaker · 26/08/2023 20:18

mrshoho · 26/08/2023 12:26

What? What is wrong with Caroline's tweet that required a police warning?

Absolutely nothing unless you're the person who was recently exposed as a nonce by Reduxx.

DerekFaker · 26/08/2023 20:15

What. The FUCK.

Yet more police idiocy.

Reduxx have now picked up the sticker incident. WYP need disbanding.

After the interrogation, the police advised Eve that “no crime had taken place.” But, through a Freedom of Information Request she later submitted, Eve says that the investigation into her was catalogued as a “non-crime hate incident” by West Yorkshire Police. According to the force’s website, a non-crime hate incident is defined as “any non-crime incident which is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by hostility or prejudice.”

UK: Senior Woman Interrogated by Police After Taking Photograph Of Sticker Critical Of Gender Ideology - Reduxx

A senior woman in the United Kingdom was visited by police after being caught taking a photograph of a sticker critical of gender ideology. Eve, whose identity is being protected at her request, was questioned at her home for over 30 minutes by officer...

(he corrected "impeed" in his next post)

This might make them sit up

Boomboom22 · 26/08/2023 14:07

The police want to protect the sacred man above everything and everyone. What hold does he have over them? Can Stella look into this personal use of the police? How can this happen?

Who did Reduxx recently publish an exposé on? Hmmmmm....

This is beyond chilling now...

Un-fucking believeable. Even now that his cover is blown, the police still choose to side with the pedophile and do his bidding. I hope that a paper with the funds to call him out publishes it soon and we can have an enquiry into the police behaviour.
