New petition - stop people changing their legal sex marker on Govt ID

Its up on the petitions and activism board, its an official Government petition so UK residents only. You'll need to give your name, postcode, and an email address. You also need to click a link they email to you or your signature won't count.
No one else can see you signed, not even the person who created it.

Perhaps they will do before the end…

As with a previous petition, I think it was the Sex Matters one, I predict this one will gradually accrue signatures over the months it is open, every time there is an incident.

Hopefully in the last few weeks bigger SM accounts will share it online for a final push.

Its not a one time only deal, if you don't get enough signatures you can try again. If you want to start one, you need 5 people to sponsor it. They have to sign before it goes active. You'll receive an email confirming they signed which includes their name, so you should let your sponsors know.

Adding a thought that a repeal the gra might be a good petition.

I dont know enough about these petitions, is it a one only thing? Or could I set up one to repeal the gra, it go nowhere and I start another in 6 months? Anyone know?

Morning bump. This would go a long way to sorting things out. Documentation should be factual and accurate and only record observable data and the facts of events. Our internal self concept doesn’t override that and isn’t necessary on official documents.

Thank you Thelnebriati this is so important. We must maintain sex-disaggregated data, and this is an important supporting step. Plus, obv as pp has said, closing a loophole which allows criminals including paedophiles to escape their criminal records.

There were 2853 signatures as I signed just now,
Have to remember to click the confirmation link in the email that is sent to you,
Otherwise your vote will not be counted,
It is very distressing to think how sex offenders can use this loophole to cover their abuse history and become untraceable
