cake is a much, much nicer thing to be talking about than the hell of Stonewall speaking for/against/over me. Largely about how cock would do me so much good in making me a more acceptable human being that serves male interests properly.

Anyway, Beetle's reported me for hate crimes against drizzle cakes, so I might as well enjoy myself and make some cup cakes for the keystone cops and the fox botherer when they arrive panting on the drive with scolds' bridles in hand. It's not even like these days there's any ducking stools locally, you have to feel for the poor twits.

My MiL made a wedding cake once for a family member, so quite an important gig as cakery goes. It was one of them there red velvet things. She decided to make it without eggs and regular flour so that she could 'try some of it' as she'd put herself on a strange diet. Apparently the bride and groom were made aware of this the day before but went 'wet lettuce'.

Adult DSD and I were sitting next to each other at the wedding reception as we tried it, and let's just say that the experience of trying to chew and swallow one mouthful of this turgid loam while still smiling politely brought us closer together in adversity.

On the cake front, I hope there will be fruit cake. I mean, there's plenty of it about these days in the metaphorical sense, but actual proper fruit cake.

Is anyone familiar with the concept of the eisteddfod? You're in line for a chair or a crown, Beetle.

I'm on the fence about the wine one as I don't drink so I'm unsure as to the possibility that a wine drinker could find themselves with leftover wine or not.

But too much cream is surely impossible?

neither of those court decisions will have given her or the trustees much confidence that she was doing good things for the charity.

I believe it's the mythical cousin of the equally mythical "Leftover Wine." Honestly, some people will believe anything.

All cakes are equal. But some are more equal than others.

Also what is the deal with red velvet cake? What is it actually meant to taste like and what's it's consistency supposed to be? Because in photos it's looks really moist and like it would taste like a slice of pure pleasure but any I've ever had has been dry and tastes of nothing much. Which seems like such a waste of calories!

If someone could explain red velvet cake to me I'd be grateful. It's red. It's cake. What's the big deal?
