I'm not sure if he mentions his battles with GC women in it because the review doesn't mention it but I thought some people here would like to read the review. The reviewer doesn't think much of it and that is putting it mildly :)
"Bringing Down Goliath by Jolyon Maugham review — the pompous bloviating of a Twitter KC" (I had to google "bloviating"):

Bringing Down Goliath by Jolyon Maugham review — the pompous bloviating of a Twitter KC

The word “Twitter” appears but once in the index of Jolyon Maugham’s memoir cum social action manifesto Bringing Down Goliath. But the whole book is very much

Those quotes are hilarious. I was wondering what they reminded me of and it just popped into my head...

Adrian Mole! 😂

He grew up and wrote a law book, didn't he? I wish Sue Townsend was alive to see this and be proud.

Hmmmm. Now im not being funny but our wonderful book on Amazon the reviews have Verified Purchase next to most of them.

NONE of the reviews on this book are from people who have bought it.

Yeah, I went as far as buying a children's book to leave a ranty review. I also wanted to see how shit it was.

And now there is an interview. "‘I identify with Gandhi’" Of course, you do Jolyon.

I had no idea he is a Kiwi.

That wouldn't be the anti-black racist Gandhi though.

"Giving a speech on receiving the Praeses Elit in Dublin, a prize awarded to those who have advanced the discourse in their line of work and are a source of inspiration to young people, I reflected on Gandalf standing on the bridge at Khazad-dûm in The Lord of the Rings."

Brilliant.

At least he identifies "with" Gandhi and not "as" Gandhi.
I think there's a crucial difference that he would do well to teach to his young trans friend.
