Isn't it amazing how it's only ever a problem when people know about it . Angry

YES this man should be safe in the prison system. NO he should not be in Cornton Vale with women prisoners, who are expected to accept the secondary punishment of his presence and being used as tools to meet his needs and wishes as part of their biological burden, on top of the punishment of imprisonment.

But they only ever find solutions that work for women too when the facts go public, the total unacceptability of it is exposed, and people kick off about it.

After which women get whinged at.

The latest info is saying that 4our of five trans inmates in Scotland's only womens' prisons are murderers, which is just mind boggling.

At about 30 minutes in a researcher states "...at the latest count, 85 of the 168 transwomen in prisons in England and Wales are serving time for a sexual offense. So that's about 50%...'

The furore surrounding the placement of transgender offenders in Scottish prisons has sharpened personal safety fears across Scotland’s LGBTQ+ community, the Guardian has been told.

No concrete examples, for some reason.

“I’ve had a number of people say they’ve had family members getting in touch to have fractious conversations,” Valentine added.

My God how many TW sex offenders are there in Scotland?!?! Statistically offending rates amongst TW must be extremely high.

It was discussed on MN recently, five times higher than the male population at large, according to the ONS; and almost 50% of those in prison are there for sex offences.
