She has just tweeted that she is appealing the decision to dismiss her claim against Stonewall in her recent case.

No news on if a garden is needed to be seeded though!

I think he's secretly terrified of accidentally imported spiders

Ha ha me too.

The other day I picked up an empty banana box in Lidl to take home. DP did his daft wee humphy face Confused and asked me what I wanted it for. (I think he's secretly terrified of accidentally imported spiders.)

I told him I needed it as an emotional support box, and hugged it all the way home in the car.

He's aware of the Allison Bailey hearing shenanigans so at least I got a laugh out of him. I love it that 'emotional support [thing]' has entered the lexicon.

I also have an emotional support pebble.

I wonder if, this time, I will get to hear about a support chameleon?

😂😉

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/06/2023 00:38

But...I thought she had won?

What did she not win on?

Why do you think she's only contesting Stonewall and not Garden Court Chambers who were found to have discriminated against her on the grounds of her protected gender critical beliefs?

Oh Mishy, how we've missed you and your nonsense.

Your support animal will explain it to you.

The tribunal panel decided that Stonewall hadn't caused or induced Garden Court to persecute her — which they quite clearly had. So Allison is appealing that part of the judgment. We look forward to the reappearance of the support dog, the support mother and the support solicitor.

But you're right, she won the rest including punitive damages.

Wow, even daft analogies get deleted.

AgathaSpencerGregson · 10/06/2023 15:16

Having checked I see that Wright was indeed junior counsel for stonewall at the ET. I would not expect a change, but let’s see.

ArabeIIaScott · 10/06/2023 15:14

Well, you do the summoning, and things start to vanish ...

RMW was junior I believe? They had a silk. Possible they may choose another junior.

Fantastic news. I'll happily donate to see sunlight on Stonewall.I wonder what legal experts Stonewall will hire?

The norm is to have at appeal the same lawyers you had at first instance. For all the obvious reasons

I’d just name changed as the tribunal madness seemed to have settled down. Am I going to have to become a support harpy now?

(And good luck Allison!)

Love the idea of a support harpy.

AgathaSpencerGregson · 10/06/2023 08:11

And I’m pretty sure there will be bundles too.

Mumsnut · 09/06/2023 19:18

Will there be … Ben?

Seems highly likely he’d be instructed on this appeal. It will be all legal argument, no evidence. It will be fascinating from a legal perspective.

Bundles of fun coming up!!! Yay!!

Mumsnut · 09/06/2023 20:38

Sheer forensic Viagra, to mid-quote Charles Spencer

TheABC · 09/06/2023 20:24

I'm left wondering about the LGB/Mermaids Charity Commission case. Has there been any update on that one?

SidewaysOtter · 09/06/2023 20:22

The prospect of a hefty dose of Ben Cooper has made me come over all unnecessary. Throw in more bundle dramas and some support animals and I shall have to stock up on popcorn again.
