Propaganda gibberish.

So you disagree that "trans inclusive" means no single sex spaces then?

What do you think it means?

diningiswest · 16/06/2022 16:02

Why would women want a union that is not acting in their best interests?

babyjellyfish · 16/06/2022 16:01

SunbowRainshine31 · 16/06/2022 15:54

Listen to women, and pay attention when they speak up.

Such as the unison position.

Except the women who say they believe a woman is an adult human female and that sex matters, presumably?

Maybe don't take it for granted that everyone Gender-critical on here and other places ISNT a far-right woman, or a man.

because the vast majority are indeed, and that is evidenced far and wide.

Inside your head, maybe. Meanwhile, back on planet real, less so.

I know for a fact that they aren't, because I am gender critical and definitely not "far right"!

Cattenberg · 16/06/2022 16:00

That would be a waste of time, women have spoken, why would they want members that disagree with the policy of the union?

I’m a member of Unison and didn’t know there was going to be a vote! Maybe it was mentioned in the summer edition of U magazine, that I haven’t got round to reading yet?

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 16/06/2022 15:57

why would they want members that disagree with the policy of the union?
You think every member of a union must agree with all the policies of a union? So no room for majority votes? No room for debate? No policies ever changing because everyone must agree with the old policy?

I'm not sure @SunbowRainshine31 knows what gender critical is.

What do I believe as a gender-critical person, @SunbowRainshine31 ? Can you set this out in a way that I would agree is accurate?

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 16/06/2022 15:50

Oh Sunbow, you are absolutely right. Take no notice of all these women who don’t get that they are part of the covert right wing takeover in our society.

I'm just disappointed that you didn’t mention the far right ‘s advocacy for giving children untested hormone treatments designed for completely different ailments, and encouraging them to cut off irreplaceable parts of their anatomy. They are all just following in the footsteps of Mengele , he was a Nasty , right? Well, there you go.

I was a unison member at my old org and had already written to them to explain why i won't be re-joining at my new org. There are alternative unions to join which is good, but i need to do some research on them.

And stop pretending that trans inclusive has to mean no single sex anything,

Anyone insisting that lesbians have to sleep with transwomen isn't being trans inclusive it's being morally bankrupt

Propaganda gibberish.

And homophobic.

babyjellyfish · 16/06/2022 15:29

List all the mainstream feminist orgs that oppose trans inclusion that date from before same-sex marriage passed.
There's actually loads of them, and they all support trans inclusion.
The gender-critical movement formed because actual feminist orgs supprt trans inclusion.
Far-right, and conservative/misogynist groups not so much.

How is prioritising the feelings of biologically male people over the rights, safety and opportunities of biologically female people "actual feminism"?

How is redefining women as people who perform feminine stereotypes so that male people can be included "actual feminism"?

Those things seem like the actual opposite of feminism, to me.

babyjellyfish · 16/06/2022 15:27

DodoPatrol · 16/06/2022 15:14

Don't be so silly, Sunbow.

Males exist.
Females exist.
Males differ physically from females.
Transwomen are male.

At which point does that become a 'far right argument'?

I expect many people on the far right also believe in gravity.

Should we pretend we don't?

babyjellyfish · 16/06/2022 15:26

But let's just take this one. I think for myself. I have not been radicalised by far right propaganda. I have been radicalised by thirty-odd years of sex discrimination, being on the sharp end of it and knowing that it was down to my sex not my gender-assigned-at-birth because I think that gender is also a scam which keeps women in their place. Also the grammar is poor.

This.

becausetrampslikeus · 16/06/2022 15:23

Forget left and right

Think right or wrong . Basic moral values

NecessaryScene · 16/06/2022 15:15

It is a far-right political target.

Maybe not 5 years ago, but it 100% is today.

Well, yes, obviously if the "left" are saying something so mind-bogglingly stupid, opposed by the majority of the population, then that will be a far-right political target. How could it not be?

Five years ago there wasn't enough consciousness of how stupid the "left" were being, but there's been enough of this going on that it is now a viable attack point.

We're past the point where someone pointing it out isn't going to sound crazy, because huge numbers of people have now seen those on the "left" defend men in women's sports and prisons and rape crisis centres.

We've been trying to get this in check in time to prevent a huge right-wing backlash, but we may be somewhat past that. We still need to try to land this thing in some sort of sane way though, so the "left" isn't out of power for a generation.

Said like a true far-right person.

Mindblowingly bang on what a far-right agitator would say.

Thanks.

I think the cognitive dissonance is going on in your post which genuinely does not make any sense. I have actual, paid, feminist work to do otherwise I would take apart those statements one by one.

The fact that so many people on here fall into that, is because far-right radicalizing propaganda is what pushes Gender-critical agitators.

But let's just take this one. I think for myself. I have not been radicalised by far right propaganda. Far-right, and conservative/misogynist groups not so much.

There is not a shred of evidence the majority of women or feminist orgs agree with gender-crtical nonsense.
The opposite is roundly true, and every time someone mentions feminism as an excuse to be transphobic or oppose inclusion, THAT, I'm afraid is cognitive dissonance.

NecessaryScene · 16/06/2022 15:15

SunbowRainshine31 · 16/06/2022 14:58

I mean, the people slagging me off are just displaying cognitive dissonance.

There is absolutely no doubt in fair minded people 'who' is pushing gender-critical ideology.

It is a far-right political target.

Maybe not 5 years ago, but it 100% is today.

There are people arguing that Matt Walsh understands what a woman is, more than the majority of women on every survey that supports trans rights.

And there are people on here reading this, that will throw their weight behind Matt Walsh, rather than women like Stella Creasy who is literally trying to make misogyny a hate-crime.

The fact that so many people on here fall into that, is because far-right radicalizing propaganda is what pushes Gender-critical agitators.

The fact that radicalized people push back against the idea they are radicalized, is neither here nor there, thats a feature, but when you are being told it from multiple sources and multiple feminist sources, it's time to wake up and smell the coffee.

Unless you actually are a far-right political agitator, then maybe you havent been radicalized, you are part of the radicalization process.

It is beyond obvious all gender-critical groups contain both these elements within.

I think the cognitive dissonance is going on in your post which genuinely does not make any sense. I have actual, paid, feminist work to do otherwise I would take apart those statements one by one.
