what a despicable person standing in parliament trying to deny others their rights under law.

Blunt complained bitterly that his attempts to “counsel” Townsend had been rebuffed and that “she remains absolutely determined to take part in this most contentious of public debates”.

Well how very dare she! A democratically elected Women daring to speak out on women’s rights and safety - an issue that so many of her voters thought was important enough to talk about on the door step…the nerve of the women…especially as she was duly elected as the PCC - who on earth does she think she is.

It makes me curious and suspicious all at once when men are so committed and determined to shut down rational, relevant and appropriate conversations (esp in her position and given recent events).

@Dinosaurwoman

I have heard that Crispin Blunt has said that the good people of Reigate and Banstead where he is an MP would vote for a donkey if was a conservative. So that’s allegedly what he thinks of his constituents and he’s probably right.
This is essentially true. The seat has only ever been held by a conservative MP. Can’t see that changing any time soon.

Looks like they did.

Lisa was democratically elected, same as him. What arrogance to think he is in a position to 'counsel' her, especially when he's been censured over breach of parliamentary rules.

Goatsaregreat · 18/01/2022 16:17

Blunt is yet another example of how male supremacy is embedded (regrettably) in the thinking of so many men. He cannot imagine that Lisa would refuse to obey his instructions and so he seeks for her to be punished.

It is unthinkable that women are refusing to obey the demands of the privileged white males in the Houses of Lords and Commons (like Blunt, Cashman, Paddick etc) They have spoken about what women are and where men are to be allowed and women will comply or be punished.

ScreamingMeMe · 18/01/2022 15:43

Nasty, woman-hating piece of work.

yourhairiswinterfire · 18/01/2022 15:36

Hope Lisa told the arrogant tool exactly where he could shove his ''counselling''. Who the fuck does he think he is? Hmm

Sly, vile man.

It's well known that Sir George Gardiner, who had held the seat but been deselected by the local party, paraded a donkey through Reigate wearing a banner with the name Crispin on it.

Here is the story, complete with a photograph of the donkey:

Yes, they voted for the donkey.

SwissBall · 18/01/2022 15:14

I didn’t think he could sink any lower in my estimation, but he’s excelled himself here. Can he be reported anywhere for this behaviour?

I assume he said that after election?

He's a nasty piece of work, isn't he? If you want to see how he sees women, look at how he treated his wife.
