I'm really pleased to be able to finally launch this new website:

www.transwidowsvoices.org/

Some of you were kind enough to deploy your spades to enable its creation. All of the funding has been provided by feminists such as yourselves.

This is a site owned by trans widows where women will be able to tell their stories. There is a huge need for this to counter the one sided "stunning and brave" narrative that is the only story told by the media.

There are four stories on the site so far and more stories will be added as we receive them. We also hope there will be some exciting guest blogs.

I think I can risk speaking for all the trans widows here when I say, thank you so much to @MNHQ for continuing to have us and to and all FWR supporters for enabling us to get this far. Smile

Fantastic - an important resource. Well done you!

Love the colour scheme Star

Jolonglegs · 21/03/2020 20:11

I think this is really good. We need to hear the 'other' voice rather than the Trans voice that we hear so much of. Well done Tinsel.

ThinEndoftheWedge · 21/03/2020 20:06

Well done. Excellent website and the safe browsing facility is an excellent idea.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 21/03/2020 18:50

It was well worth all your effort Tinsel. Those stories are so powerful and emotional. Flowers

TinselAngel · 21/03/2020 18:43

I realise it's been a labour of love in getting to this point.

It has been a bit of a slog I must admit!

Brilliant work Tinsel Wine

Datun · 21/03/2020 18:32

That is absolutely brilliant tinsel.

Reading the accounts is extraordinary, actually.

Despite many people never having even heard the word autogynephilia, it all feels so familiar, plausible, recognisable.

Everyone knows what cross dressing is. What a fetish is.

It's really beneficial to see the analysis, the experience, the solidarity.

WrathofFaeKlopp · 21/03/2020 18:16

Fantastic work. Star

socialworker222 · 21/03/2020 18:16

These threads have been the greatest support to women like me. Finding other people who don't feel happy or convinced by a partner's mid-life announcement is completely life-changing. This website raises our profile and makes us easier to find. I'm so grateful to Tinsel for all this work. It will help distressed, isolated, abused and vulnerable women.

LindaSmithfanclub · 21/03/2020 17:47

Well done. There will be hundreds, possibly thousands, of women for whom this will be an invaluable resource and a focus on the forgotten side of transgenderism. Congratulations to all involved.

Bezalelle · 21/03/2020 17:45

Excellent work!

FeckTheMagicDragon · 21/03/2020 17:11

Well done Tinsel, this looks great!

SisterWendyBuckett · 21/03/2020 16:58

So pleased to see this Tinsel.

What a brilliant resource. I know so many women will be immensely grateful for the time and effort put in to creating this. Thanks

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 21/03/2020 16:46

Delighted to see this.

Well done.

WhatKatyDidNot · 21/03/2020 16:45

This is a fabulous effort! Well done.

The individual stories are very powerful and the FAQ section is great.

I hope it helps spread awareness that there is an entirely different side to the brave and stunning narrative.

SlayB · 21/03/2020 16:40

Tinsel this is brilliant news, such an important site and so pleased to see this launched, I realise it's been a labour of love in getting to this point. Huge congrats to you, and those involved. Really, really pleased (and I hope I can say I'm proud of you without sounding patronising).

What a legend you are!

Michelleoftheresistance · 21/03/2020 16:25

Bravo Tinsel ! Flowers

So pleased to hear this news.

LeftHandDown · 21/03/2020 16:23

Well done. I had a read this morning and think it's going to provide a much needed resource for trans widows and others wanting to support women affected.
