I'm really pleased to be able to finally launch this new website:

www.transwidowsvoices.org/

Some of you were kind enough to deploy your spades to enable its creation. All of the funding has been provided by feminists such as yourselves.

This is a site owned by trans widows where women will be able to tell their stories. There is a huge need for this to counter the one sided "stunning and brave" narrative that is the only story told by the media.

There are four stories on the site so far and more stories will be added as we receive them. We also hope there will be some exciting guest blogs.

I think I can risk speaking for all the trans widows here when I say, thank you so much to @MNHQ for continuing to have us and to and all FWR supporters for enabling us to get this far. Smile

Thank you so much to all the wonderful women sharing their difficult & painful stories here & on the website. They are not easy stories to hear so it must take some sort of strength to tell them.

When the women's rights battles for public space get wearing & the endless bloody nonsense seems so ludicrously bizarre,... these stories remind me (along with the detransitioner stories) of how deeply dark, twisted & selfish the 'gender ideology' demands really are. In solidarity with trans widows.

I've never commented on the trans widows thread because I didn't think it my place, but I'e seen your contributions to the site over the years @TinselAngel, and wholeheartedly admire everything you do to support other women. Your site is a wonderful valuable resource, and you are a Star

There's a difference between someone who wants a relationship with you, and someone who is looking for a suitable mark. They may not be doing it deliberately or consciously.
Part of the feeling if betrayal that comes with being a trans widow is realising you invested in a relationship, but you could have been anyone that fit his preferred profile.

People who look for ''a good fit'' apply various tests called 'compliance tests' before they get invested. If you spot one its a really good idea to fail it, and let them move on.

Flowers for 'Kelly' & her children.

'Kelly' describes:
"It was always my fault. Or so I was told. I was wooed, pursued and I was swept away. I never saw the truth or what was to come."

The tactics/ behaviour patterns of coercive controlling abusers are common.
This article is a very useful tool to help raise awareness:

Ime the womanising script is about looking for 'the one', not the sex itself. This time wasn't perfect, next time will be the one. Its no different from compulsively looking at porn online searching for the perfect fix.

SallyArmley · 14/07/2020 12:18

Thanks Tinsel, I've found my way there. Flowers

It's working for me.

Sometimes it doesn't work if you have parental controls on your wifi, for understandable reasons.

Anyone else finding it difficult to read the personal accounts because the site keeps crashing and asking you to refresh? Is it because there are so many visitors?

SocialConnection · 04/06/2020 07:10

Congratulations! All the best for the site. 💐💐💐

GrinitchSpinach · 04/06/2020 02:28

Thanks for posting, Tinsel. Flowers to Philomena, if you’re on here. You must be one formidable woman. I wish you every happiness.

TinselAngel · 03/06/2020 18:50

I maybe should say it's another difficult read.

Holy shit! - "They even discussed murdering me."

"Eleven years later and several instances of finding his fake nails and other evidence of cross-dressing, there were now three children and my husband met someone online who shared his cross-dressing fantasies and convinced him to pursue a sex change. I found all of their sexually explicit messages. He described being married to me as torture. All these years I thought I was the one being tortured. They even discussed murdering me. "

This is heartrending - but at least the kids do not have to cope with their mother having been murdered by a cross-dressing father in cahoots with an online cross-dressing pal !

"After I left him, I felt like myself for the first time in many years. I had been lost to policing his cross-dressing and not triggering him to cross-dress. I was finally able wear clothes I liked without worrying that he may be triggered. The children had to grieve the loss of a father, no longer allowed to call him “Dad”, the saddest factor of all. It was all very traumatic for me, but it has been far harder for the children. "

If not already done, I hope someone signposts Baroness Nicholson to www.transwidowsvoices.org

Brilliant site Tinsel. I hope people see the reality and truth of these men, rather than lazily buying into the stunning and brave nonsense.
