Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Bert and Ernie and their recorders reminded me of an even worse version of the twins in the Shining.

Yes! They are like that.

murasaki · 22/10/2026 17:17

Come play with us. For ever..and ever...and ever definitely takes on a more sinister note with recorders.

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 17:19

So many children at my primary school learnt the recorder ! I didn’t though. My parents wouldn’t have allowed that!

Southeastdweller · 22/10/2026 17:25

Yes indeed - Bert and Ernie sound like they were raised in Belsize Park rather than in Walford.

Amy’s another one who sounds too posh for Walford

NowNumber5 · 22/10/2026 19:47

Lauren's got a lovely tan after her week in Devon in October!

lazymum99 · 22/10/2026 19:51

@the80sweregreat we had to learn the recorder in music lessons. When my kids got one they were very impressed that I could still play Frere Jaques 😂

Brilliant!
it’s a classic tune isn’t it!

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 19:54

Amy is very haughty isn’t she! She is a bit like Roxy at times , she was always in trouble.

NoisyBrain · 22/10/2026 19:55

Argh the whole ‘Max left Zoe to die’ thing is such utter bollocks 🙄 I mean, he’s a slimy liar, but it’s not like he stood over her while she took her last breath!

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 19:59

It is rubbish. Zoe phoned the emergency services and they ignored it as she didn’t make any sense.
Kat didn’t take her to the hospital either.

Shellingbynight · 22/10/2026 20:10

I never understand in soaps why people admit things when they don’t need to. Oscar could have denied saying it, Max could deny it happened. There’s no evidence and people would think Cindy was lying. But no, he’d rather bribe Cindy and have hysterics about 'not going back inside'.

The HMRC thing was ridiculous, Cindy tells them and within 24 hours he has a letter demanding money.

And then Craig got loaned £1k within an hour. The pacing is terrible.

I’ve realised why they are forcing the reveal with Craig before Amy's birthday. She's still 17 so he can be prosecuted and jailed.

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 20:12

Shelling , so true and the tax people take forever to get through to on the phone let alone letters !

EmeraldShamrock000 · 22/10/2026 20:14

The pacing is ridiculous. Oh I didn’t realise Max left Steven with a head injury. Different situation but I can see why Cindy made a connection.

Meredusoleil · 22/10/2026 20:37

What I can't believe is that Max was happy to throw around the figure of £50k just for Cindy to keep her mouth shut when he hasn't got anywhere near that amount of money to hand.

Also, I can't believe Lauren would be foolish enough to give her real business name (Branning & Daughter) to the person on the phone when trying to get a reference for Ned.

After Ryder made that comment to his dad about Lauren may be into older guys, I'm now worried Ned might have his sights set on her after Ian. Especially after he dropped his statement "My door is always open" line on her - just like he did to Ian!

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 21:07

Steven died years ago , how we meant to remember all that ? Plus why he ended up in that fire and so on I’ve no idea. ( I think that it was a fire ?)
I can’t even remember why Max was mixed up with Steven , but he did go out with Lauren and Abby !
And he is AJ’s dad ..

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 21:20

They get into such scrapes don’t they. They lie and cheat and cover their tracks and usually it’s ( mostly ) avoidable.
It is frustrating isn’t it. The last two episodes have been good though!

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 21:50

The coincidences too. Ian needs some ‘ well being ‘ and up pops nasty Ned.
Max needs money ( again) and up pops Amy with her 100,000 k trust fund that’s made compound interest to the same amount that he needs to give to Cindy! Who’d thought it! Cinders and Max are entertaining though.

Alucard55 · 22/10/2026 21:53

They all act like handing over thousands is nothing. Kathy with Viki Michelle whatever that story was, Vicki and one of Joel's victims, Denzel is a youngster so I can understand that.

Why would Tanya be wanting more child support from Max? I get he's the granddad and given the situation morally he should provide but would he have a legal obligation?

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 22:02

I thought that re Tanya. Maybe he provided money for them and she is up against it now? AJ sounds a handful and she is bound to show up one day in a black cab. Tanya must have custody of her , but not sure how Max has to pay anything?

Meredusoleil · 22/10/2026 22:10

Maybe after both Abi and Steven died and their child was orphaned, both Max and Tanya became her legal guardians?

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 22:13

Max took off with baby Abi once! Tanya didn’t take her on at first ( can’t remember why )
They must be her guardians. She is probably fed up with hearing that Max Is giving loads of money away and she is stuck in Exeter with AJ and skint!

murasaki · 22/10/2026 22:15

It would be as reasonable for Tanya to go after Cindy as after Max for cm, aka not reasonable at all really.

the80sweregreat · 22/10/2026 22:25

Amy was doing well with her character , but since Craig came on the scene she has become a bit wooden and almost bored and a bit distant. Her scene with Denzil today was very stilted. It’s sad that they have come up with all this and I hope it’s over soon.

Shellingbynight · Yesterday 08:20

Tanya was too mentally fragile after Abi's death to take on AJ, and there was a custody battle between Cora(!) and Max. Max and Rainie had her for a while, but Rainie fell apart, she ended up with Stuart, and AJ went back to Cora/Tanya.

I wiki'd, it is very longwinded and confusing but it ends with saying Tanya is now AJ's legal guardian. So not sure why Max would pay anything.
