Vanessa and Glenda were two more characters I never really liked, they didn't quite work although I do like Glynis Barber. Archie was a great villain.

Sean only really has a connection with the Slaters doesn't he. Stacey effectively owns the Vic as she paid the deposit, and Kat and Alfie are falling apart.

It is odd that he is returning before Stacey, but Lacey is dancing. And Wadey also likes these weird returns where characters show up for a week then disappear again (Zoe, Max, now Stacey). I find it really annoying, it ruins the momentum.

Wow! 100,000 k at 18 and a huge deposit for a flat or house. Lucky Amy via her horrible grandad.

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 16:11

Archie was a good villain. Him and Janine together were so toxic ! He threw her out with the rubbish eventually. They have some evil ones in EE

Alucard55 · 18/10/2026 16:12

It says 21st birthday but plot reasons.

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 16:17

Might be better to have the money at 21. She’d have ditched Craig by then ; or he had been killed off.

Southeastdweller · 18/10/2026 16:28

So Archie bequeathed Roxy £3,000,000? That’s not something I remember because wasn’t she always skint?

Didn’t Roxy and Ronnie go head to head to buy a property once or Roxy lost a lot of money once ?
Something happened

That was a brilliant Christmas Day episode when Archie set up a game for Janine in the Square . She was rattling on about how her dad made Christmas so special and how she was such a Daddy's Girl and she loved Christmas . She must've had a very selective memory as all the Christmases had her sulking or bickering or a face that would curdle milk.
Archie set up some clues , she ran about the Square in her Santa Underwear and Robe , squealing with delight , while Archie looked on indulgantly .
Then gave her a one way ticket to The Back of Beyond and a 5p (or similar) and threw her sprawling onto the street .

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 17:01

70s! Lol
Christmas time is never ever happy is it ! Always a drama or four.
Archie was an absolute tool, but good fun.

Was the money just for Roxy ? Did he cut Ronnie out ?
That would be the sort of thing he'd have done .

Roxy bought a jeep and a puppy (Albert ) she'd have had loads of advice , wanted or otherwise from her family about the cash

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 17:07

We never see Ryder’s dog much do we. He is so cute.

I was saying to DD today "Who is going to die this Christmas"?
As soon as someone says "This'll be the best Christmas evah " then we know they'll be doomed Grin

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 17:16

70s, ever thus, but they soldier on don’t they!
Nic even does half Christmas.. I mean you wouldn’t living there .

Brilliant. If anyone deserved that, it was Janine.

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 18:45

Janine’s face was a picture wasn’t it in that ridiculous get up ! She really was so over the top , but well acted by Charlie Brooks.

Eastie77Returns · 18/10/2026 19:19

If Archie left Roxy 3mil wouldn't that money (or what's left of it) also go to Amy as her next of kin when Roxy died??

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 19:25

Maybe that’s why Amy has the trust fund? Although I’ve never had one so no real idea how they work.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/10/2026 20:08

Ritchie would've been On The Case .

As well as being Philths Ever Available Defence Lawyer with an encyclopedic knowledge of everything legal (even USA law when Ben got arrested for credit card theft )
She'd have sat there with her nice pen and yellow legal pad saying "You'd be mad to let an 18yo have all that money Phil , she'd be a target for every money grabbing opportunist scrote inside the M25 corridor . Let her have some , but you need to protect her . Roxy isn't here to do that "

Didn;'t they say there was going to be another Roxy comes back story , probably as a vision/ghost .
Though if she said to Amy trust me Ames , he's bad news. I've had more than mu share of dodgy blokes so I know what I'm talkin' about
Amy would eyeroll .

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 20:18

Love Ritchie. She is a bit part legend and always beautifully dressed.

Eastie77Returns · 18/10/2026 20:29

Would love it if Roxy the Ghost came back.

Lol Richie is a jack(ie) of all trades isn't she?

I read Amy approaches Phil about accessing the money, I sincerely hope he realises something is amiss and starts digging into why she wants it. Jack is clueless and Dee is out of action, someone needs to save Amy!

the80sweregreat · 18/10/2026 20:30

Philosophical Phil may save the day .. let’s hope he has his wise / suspicious vibe on and realize Amy is in trouble with a wrong un.

Is it a rough collie?

Southeastdweller · 18/10/2026 21:20

Roxy has made a reappearance since she died - as an hallucination when Amy was going through the self-harming. I wish she hadn’t been killed off.

I have to say that the writers have done a believable job on the whole with Amy and can understand why she’s so vulnerable.

Seen this on Facebook, so now suddenly Ned can also buy the pub?! Any money that Kat and Alfie get selling up needs to go straight back to Stacey. What a joke.

Where is the money coming from for Ned to buy the pub ?
