Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Agree the taxi. Why was it parked there and was that a proper parking space. And why would Alfie have the keys.

Shellingbynight · 16/10/2026 15:53

Yes very odd there were no parking restrictions right opposite a London station.

@NowNumber5 zoning out at the moment is probably a good thing😆

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 15:53

I’m surprised that black cab still goes tbh.

The Ryder story doesn’t make any sense at all.
It is what it is these days , we have to try and roll with the punches and fill in the gaps sometimes as what the writers are thinking.
You never see any parking permits in the cars there or anyone being clamped. It would be rife in any kind of normal road in London , but the residents have their own rules it seems ( unless plot reasons to have cars clamped )

Ha, yes, we have residents parking permits and a VERY active parking warden. Although everyone knows he checks at 9.05 and then again at 4 or so so between those hours it's fair game....

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 16:00

I used to hate the parking permits in my old house . I had visitors going mad at the door as the warden was prowling ! It was a nightmare.

And it's a nightmare re tradesmen. Although luckily the ones my landlady uses have twigged it's free before 9 so I generally get the first visit on the list.

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 16:04

That’s handy with your landlady being switched on like that! I had to buy my ones from the council.
Dh’s late parents had them too, he wrote on one in pencil and got a fine 🙄

murasaki · 16/10/2026 16:06

She used to live here, so bitter experience!

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 16:09

The writers probably never go to the East end or many parts of London , it’s a mystery to them all ( even though they have the internet to look it all up )
But like having one bag to go abroad and leaving the doors open and having affairs on their own door step , it is another world

Aah that's one of the miracles of TV -

*There is always an available parking spot right outside the address you need to get to.

*Parking restrictions do not apply.

*Newborn babies are massive.

*Back doors are always unlocked, especially when there are serial killers around.

*Phil's safe always has a spare 100k, The Black Hoodie, The Invisibility Beanie and The Gun.

*You can always get a job at The Chippy, The Cafe, The Pub or The Club

And most importantly

*There will always be room for you cos you're faaaahmly

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 16:18

Now! Nail on the head !
Plus always becoming pregnant after a ons and your own bed in the hospital in a room on your own.
many many soap tropes that don’t even register with me much amymore because they live in a parallel universe from everyone else

murasaki · 16/10/2026 16:20

No employment is available outside of Walford. And on the odd chance you find it it goes tits up. Know your place.

murasaki · 16/10/2026 16:21

There is at least one gangster per ten normalish people.

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 16:22

Lauren got a job once at canary wharf !
They even went on location.
Now she is barely seen in the car sales office anymore.
Too busy booking up bougie hotels with Mr muscle ( who I now hate after what he did to Ryder )

Eastie77Returns · 16/10/2026 16:50

Mark seems tormented by what he did to Ryder to be fair.

I once parked my car outside Hoxton station for 15 mins and came back to find a ticket but Walford is an alternative universe.

I also drove to a paint shop in Islington, off Upper Street if anyone knows it, a couple of weeks ago as I had to pick up heavy pots of paint. I darted into the shop and the owner said oh no oh you can’t leave the car for even 2 minutes as there will be a traffic warden hiding in the garden bushes opposite the shop. I thought she was joking but sure enough I turned around to see a warden literally climbing out of the bushes in someone’s front garden, ready to issue me with a ticket!

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 16:54

Eastie ! Oh no
Its hard on the residents and shop owners isn’t it.
So unfair isn’t it

And Kat was on a Tube Train that had Pink/Maroon/Green/Yellow patterns on the seat .
So Hammersmith/Metropolitain/District/Circle
Epping is on the Central which is Red !

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 17:00

The tube goes wherever they want to because it’s EE. Where changing tube trains or whatever isn’t needed , it’s all just laid on for them.

Eastie77Returns · 16/10/2026 17:00

Kat might have changed at Liverpool st if Walford is on one of those lines and hopped onto the Central line to Epping. Seems an unlikely detour to make in her state and Epping Forest is huge so she could get to it easily in an Uber from where Walford is supposed to be situated. But again, EE is not about realism when it comes to London life!

So true!

murasaki · 16/10/2026 17:02

Same as cabs to Heathrow apparently being affordable for pub/cafe workers from East London....

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/10/2026 17:07

And they all seem to fly from City Airport which is stormingly expensive !

NowNumber5 · 16/10/2026 17:11

Keanu Taylor flew from Stansted!
Obvs slumming it

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2026 17:15

I read that as Keanu Reeves! Lol

NowNumber5 · 16/10/2026 17:16

80s
I should have said "Your Ken"
You'd know immediately who I was talking about 😆
