Wow, we got through the last thread pretty quickly! (Again!)

So Betsy is still recovering from her stroke, Debbie's condition (dementia) is getting worse.

Tim and Sally still have Tim's cousin Ross's daughter Lucy in their care as Ross killed his wife - Lucy's mother, and is in prison... Or so we have been lead to believe. There's a question mark over whether Ross did kill Lucy's mum at the moment, (or if it was Lucy!) after Lucy spoke to her dad the other night and said 'what if they found out what I did!' Sally is struggling with Lucy, especially after she threw her phone at Sally and hit her in the face.

Sarah is still in prison, (for killing Theo,) and hasn't had her trial yet. She has finished with Kit, who went on to sleep with her daughter Bethany!

Bernie's aunt (Celeste) who was trying to get Todd to do a funeral for her, died a few weeks ago, but not before dropping the bombshell that she has breast cancer, and Bernie may have the gene. So may Gemma and the quads, and Kit, and Brody...

Kit was tested. He has breast cancer. He is devastated - (naturally.)

Carl has just got a job in the cab office.

Probably missed some stuff!

I mentioned this in the last thread, but I can't remember if Todd did ever do Celeste's funeral by the way... She's been dead nearly 4 weeks now. I don't think they've mentioned her funeral for about 3 weeks. And I definitely don't remember them doing it.......

Sadly, I too have experience of a close relative with dementia. For us, dealing with the paranoia which crept in slowly, then became unbearable. Awful awful disease.

Sadly I think many people will have experience of a family member who has/had dementia.
My MIL had it and went from being a meek viicar’s wife who wouldn’t harm a fly to an absolute tyrant.
And I can completely understand how incredibly hard it must be to live with someone who has dementia. But I don’t think Debbie is far enough down that road for Ronnie to give up just yet.

I sound like the only one, but I can understand why Bride lady was wound up. If I had arrived at my wedding venue to find it double booked and Debbie being strange. At least she doesn’t that her husband has Debbie offering herself on a plate to him! Sometimes people lucky enough to not have experienced dementia don’t notice or understand what is obviously dementia behaviour to those people who have.

Agree. I think many people have had someone close to them have dementia. I have known mostly neighbours and acquaintances with it. Only one relative. One neighbour I had some 15 years ago was diagnosed at just 55. He was as right as rain at 53-54, and working full time, and had a full social life. He seemed to go downhill so quickly. By 56 he was unrecognisable as the man we all knew.

His wife had just retrained as a nurse (in her late 40s) and had been doing it for 2 years, and she had to give it up to be full time carer to him. He had a bad heart too and had had a heart attack shortly after being diagnosed with dementia. She said (a year after he was diagnosed) that she hoped he would have a heart attack again soon and this would take him. Rather than a decade or more of him suffering with dementia.

She got her wish. Shortly before his 57th birthday, he had a heart attack at home, and was dead before the paramedics got to him.

My one relative who had dementia (uncle - my bio auntie's husband,) was a strong feisty man who had his own business, and employed 55 people. He travelled a lot, he had several high performance vehicles as they were his passion,he played golf and tennis, and was president of several sports clubs, and was on the board of school governors. At 62, he suddenly started to get very forgetful, and very angry and shouty. He never used to be like this. He was diagnosed with dementia. Died 3 years later. Good healthy life full of privilege and wealth, and yet it still took him at just 65 years old. Very sad.

It must be horrible playing the bad guy ! The Ross actor does it well though

I agree. The actor does it so well! (Ian Burfield.) I really loathe him! 😆
