Hope so my anxieties going nuts 😂 x

Mine too! I rang for forms 30th june but it took me a while to fill the form out. If I had been quicker I would have had a decision by now 😳😭

Emz73 · 12/10/2026 11:36

@md234thank you, really devastating blow this morning 😢 xx

Aw so sorry to hear that :( what evidence did you send? I hope you have the strength for MR and that your other one gets approved...fingers crossed xxx

DearHam · 12/10/2026 12:12

I sent our forms on 21st June, they sent a message on 1st July to say they'd received the application.

Still not heard anything 🤔

I’d definitely ring, that seems a long wait x

I rang last Monday and they just said "no decision yet" and to keep waiting, current times are expected within 25 weeks etc. They didn't say if it was/wasn't with a decision maker. Nothing I can do it seems but keep waiting!

Hopefullyitcan · 12/10/2026 12:28

Scan date 24th July. Still not heard anything. Called once last week and they said no decision made. Seems like they're working a week beyond my date now so no idea why a decision hasn't been reached!

I’m the 29th July. It’s with the decision maker so still a case of waiting for me also. X

I had very similar when I called last week. They were nice enough but basically said there's no point calling again as you just have to wait.

Just out of curiosity is anybody on this post on universal credit and know about the disabled child element?x

Make sure to get it backdated and also look into the carer's element. If you spend 35 hours a week or more caring for your child due to their needs you should be eligible for the carer element as well. That's not the same as Carer's Allowance - that's a separate benefit.

You may also qualify for a bus pass (and a companion bus pass for yourself) depending on your local area's scheme due to the high rate care award.

I’ve still heard nothing about my son’s renewal . Current award expired last week. Phoned last week and it was with a case worker. Scan date July 6th

OneMintPombear · 12/10/2026 16:15

My son’s award ends on Wednesday. Just rang up and been told it’s not been decided yet. Just have to wait 😑

Thank you, i really don’t have the energy but I’ll have to try for him. I’ve so many massive fights at the moment plus still waiting for an MR for my other child which is 14 weeks today and still in a queue. 😩 xx

I'm 11 weeks mr waiting, do you know what dates there up to on the mr? Xx

Did you ring and ask? I rang and apparently it’s assigned to a decision maker but no decision yet. She said expect a decision within 2 weeks! Xx

Hey, I wonder why they have declined both of your children do you mind stating what conditions etc and did you fill the form out yourself and send all relevant evidences? X

Sorry can I ask? If you get carers allowance apparently you cannot have both either one or the other? However some people say they get both. I’m confused xx

So CA goes on how much you earn in work if you earn over so much a week you’re not eligible for CA. However CE you can get regardless of earnings I believe. You can definitely get both at the same time, depending on your earning from work x

From what I’ve seen I don’t think you can be a carer if you get the full LCWRA xx
