For those of us that don't want to see other folks conversations on a rolling screen?

thank you snorbs

Snorbs · 09/06/2010 22:03

Katymac: yes, it blocks ads too.

leavingonajetplane: go to the Firefox Tools menu, select Adblock Plus Preferences, click Add Filter (bottom left of the Adblock Plus Preferences window), then copy

widgets.twimg.com/j/2/widget.js

and paste it into the box under New filter and click OK. Then just refresh the web page and the Twitter box should have disappeared.

leavingonajetplane · 09/06/2010 21:59

Have installed Adblock Plus

Where can you put in the list of sites to block?

(this is a lifesaver)

Plumm · 09/06/2010 21:52

Thanks, Snorbs, it's gone!

Katymac · 09/06/2010 21:47

Does that block the ads too?

Snorbs · 09/06/2010 21:25

If you're running Firefox and have Adblock Plus installed, add "http://widgets.twimg.com/j/2/widget.js" (without the quotes) to the list of sites to block and Robert's your auntie's live-in lover.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 09/06/2010 21:08

Yes I would like to hide it too. I don't Twitter, I think it is the most pointless thing ever invented.

StealthPolarBear · 09/06/2010 21:03

ooh yes
£10 and no ads
would that be worht it MNHQ? How about £15?

SoupDragon · 09/06/2010 21:03

I agree. it's irritating.

Although I guess the novelty will wear off and no one will tweet anything to it.

Katymac · 09/06/2010 21:02

I don't like it either

Mind you I would pay not to have the ads as well

StealthPolarBear · 09/06/2010 21:01

Comfeylala · 09/06/2010 21:01
