Why Mums Net ?

What about Dad's ? My Husband's a stay-at-home Parent & I work outside the home.
Everything is so Mum-centric & excludes Dads.

Should Mumsnet be renamed ParentNet ?

Men are welcome on here. But they are a minority and have to understand that it is a largely female site. That gives it a different vibe from a site where there are equal numbers of men and women. So no, it should not be renamed parentsnet.

If he wants to post on here about parenting issues, he'll be made very welcome. And there is a specific section for Dads to post if they want to get a more male-heavy viewpoint.

no,we've had this before MANY times!!

look in topics part.....you'll find a dadsnet in there as well as gransnet!
