Who is it aimed at? I couldn't imagine myself tuning in to watch - and I'm pretty much addicted to Mumsnet. Essential problem for me is it is not interactive. I was quite curious to see what Mumsnetters really look like, but I think I actually prefer it when they keep their mystique and I think about what they are saying rather than what they look like (maybe a radio show would be better?!) This is not intended as a criticism of anyone who appeared in or was involved in the project, I just think there is so much of that kind of stuff on tv anyway - done better - and the USP of Mumsnet - that you can get straight on there and shape (or even change the course of) the discussion - is missing.

For fucks sake Bonsoir your clunking crassness often makes you come across as thick as two very short planks, and this would appear to be one of those occasions.

You very occasionally make an insightful comment but more often your horizons and thinking are demonstrated as very limited.

I don't care if this is personal, your ignorant insensitivity deserves it.

I thought the MNers were FAB - I just wished their voices could have shone through more.

I shouldn't worry about that if I were you, Bonsoir, the only people likely to think about such things are those who are uncomfortable with their own status, so I don't really see the relevance of your comment.

The programme seems a bit like a home-made video. It's all a bit close-up and wobbly

And the presenter on the make-over bit is very annoying, dump him.

I think the idea of making it a bit more like a loose women format is a good one.

It's a start. I'd lose the background music except where absolutely necessary, and get rid of the Powerpoint interludes. It seemed like there was too much crammed into the 8 or so minutes, either make it longer or cover less topics in more detail - it did kind of 'gloss over' things. As to the subject matter, yes it was all a bit fluffy this time, but I'm sure more weighty matters could be covered too, it was probably easier to recruit people for the fashion/beauty thing for a pilot show.

I won't criticise the production values as I assume you didn't want to spend too much on a pilot, I'm sure things would be better if this turned into a regular show .

TBH it made me cringe! I didn't see the point and the beauty\haircut parts were just like the amateur video's you get on YouTube. I think if anyone follows the haircut you'd end up with a disaster as I thought you were supposed to carefully brush you hair first?

Had to turn it off after 2 minutes.

Mumsnet needs the mystery, please don't turn it into a crap daytime TV franchise, it is worth so much more.

Said it before and I'll say it again, my dh has his own business making tv for tinternet. Offer still on the table mnhq ... When I showed him last night he was talking about having "its own platform" and not being "streamed through You Tube" re. the picture quality. At which point I glazed over. Could we have a "glazing over" emoticon, by the way, I think it would be a useful addition.

I think the whole format needs to be edgier -that's why we're all here and not on netmums.

It really doesn't appear in that (admittedly short) clip, very representative of MN.

Yes you can do the beauty stuff - and that was very good I thought, and you can do the clothes stuff, BUT interspersed with some lively debate (on bumsex, dare you )or some more serious matters.

MNetters were all very comfortable looking in front of the camera - well done! And was it Michelle who did the haircut? She looked great!

I just think it's all a bit meh.
