I agree with others - there's so much that's positive about mumsnet and I don't quite think it captured it. I think the USP of mumsnet is the fact that it has lively debate, great advice and some really interesting points raised that make you think about things differently.

Surely the majority of users don't really know who the people featured are (or is that just me?) so it needs to be more about other things than just "names".

How often would you be able to update it/change content? Could you feature each week a topic from AIBU, a beauty topic, a parenting feature based on a topic that has attracted lots of interest on the talk boards?

Like hocuspontas, I enjoyed putting faces to Mnetters.

Apart from that, it was a bit amateurish, makes Mumsnetters look really puerile ... don't see the point of it, wouldn't watch it and makes me a little embarrassed to be a Mumsnetter ... sorry, I'm not good at being gentle, but I'm honest.

Well done to everyone who agreed to be on camera though, you're all braver than I would be!

Not at all Mamazon, I think you looked lovely - although I couldn't work out why on earth you'd need to bother with eyelash curlers with such lovely long eyelashes!

Which made the beauty bit slightly silly..what about taking one of the problems posed on style and beauty and addressing it on a weekly basis?

I'm afraid I thought it was a lesson in what not to do!

Why don't you start from the basics - get the MNers to get themselves decent underwear and a great haircut and make-up, and then try some clothes on them?

And ditch the house - it is far too cramped and makes filming very difficult (and unflattering).

Bravo to the brave MNers who exposed themselves, however.

Makeover programme: details of the clothes should have been shown, and agree not shot on the stairs, house would have been fine if properly lit, the lovely mumsnetters could have been properly made up (I loved the clothes Princess Toadstool was wearing).

AIBU - isn't it a bit pointless? Its sort of like an in joke to those of us who have been here a while, but won't it make Mumsnet look slightly barking to someone trying to find out more about Mumsnet by clicking on the tv link?

Mamazon and Reality trying the eyelash curlers - hmmm, could there have been more to it? Were there any other products to test?

Michelle and the haircut - I'm afraid I think it looked worse after! I believe that haircut works best on straight hair. Again, sorry, but it makes us all look slightly mad.

thought the makeover was cringey - like a bad pastiche of daytime tv. (not the mums, they were very brave and looked lovely)

My first thought is that I'm so impressed with the brave mumsnetter who put themselves out there - usernames and all. Nice to see you're not all big hairy truckers!

IMHO mumsnet's strengths are tips (shared knowledge), support and debate. With a bit more, ahem, production values I think the style and beauty tips stuff could work, but I don't think AIBU was well represented by one blurry woman having a rant. It's only interesting if you can rant back!

I could see recipes/weaning/BF/parenting tips working though. I used to like those programmes (can't remember what they were called sorry ) where Carrie and Justine gave advice on dealing with -pain- -in- -the- -arse- challenging toddlers. Very useful for new parents.

Now if there was two women despairing over the harsh mirrors and excessive heatnig in a changing room then getting fucked offf with the whole pointtless mess and going for a burger then I'd recognise my life.

The house was the wrong setting for the fashion item, it did look really cramped also the lighting was not very good.

Loved the AIBU, however would be good to get more than one persons view.

Agree with other comments re the powerpoint slides.

I thought it was quite entertaining, perhaps some bits were a little stilted- and I'm afraid the phrase "you mumsnetters" from the guy John made me cringe a bit. I would have liked a more straightforward competion between MNers and the "stylist"- ie, ask the women to choose who did the best job. I also thought that filming it in a house looked cheap, and thet the fashion shots on the staircase were hideous unflattering with that camera angle.

When Mamazon yelled "OMG" while trying the heated eyelash curlers, I thought for a second that she might have singed her eyelids off, but that is her being hammy- not your fault

The main thing I didn't like was the writing- it did look leke a powerpoint presentation, and I think you need to work on the graphics a bit. The amateur effect was compounded by the quite cheesy repeating background music too.

HOWEVER, it's a good idea, and with a bit more work could be really popular. I enjoyed it.
