Yes, DH cried laughing at the Elf pooh, even 4yo DD came in and asked what was up.

Also, I don't think anyone mentioned the AIBU to think people who buy this tat are insane? thread which linked to those fake baby dolls, fairy babies and "shy kids" and the Elvis walking on water ornament.

Miggsie - it was Smallships. It has had a couple of mentions on this thread . It was one of the very few threads I have ever bothered to show dh!

that tornado one is so funny - i read it when it was bumped a year or so ago. particularly vomit0-inducing in light of the events in Haiti

Rascal1979 that thread is amazing, I read it after the fact a few months ago and rather embarrassingly started eye-leaking at my desk...that really does need to be among MN's finest moments. Great to hear you're all doing so well, she is absolutely beautiful

The one where the MNer had thrown out her DC's first teddy bear, and everyone was begging her to go get it out of the bin. It was quite funny, and one of the first threads I posted on, so memorable to me.

There was one a while back about funny things your dc have done in public, can't remember the details but it was blardy hilarious and had me and dh in stitches, may be in classics?
That booble plate one is genius, never come across it before but it has wasted my afternoon quite nicely.
Haven't been on here long but been so warmed by seeing how MNers have rallied round with Misdee, Trinity, OJ etc.
Oh and the Penguin thread was class.

I remember it. Op was being inadvertently funny. It certainly had the word friend in the thread title. Would have been within the past two or three months.

This'll be no use (or sense) at all but there was a recent AIBU where the MN-er had somehow caused a problem with her DH/DP's best mate. Her original post made absolutely no sense - cue lots of folks attempting to translate, substiuting names for all parties concerned, and even she tried re-posting the tale to no avail.
Arrgh! I can't think of an easy way of finding the damn thing! But twas very funny.
