Why can I still not hide MN local threads?

I don't care if someone wants to know about private schools in the area. I don't have stickies as I don't like one thing being at the top constantly and yet with MN local they both sticky and won't bloody hide.

Sorry local is causing you stress. I'm afraid I don't know the answer, but will have a chat with the techs once everyone is back and see if there's anything that can be done.

Are your Local threads ALWAYS at the top of your Active Convos?

What should be happening is that any new post/thread made in your Mumsnet Local area is 'stickied' for a few minutes and then disappears.

If you always have a Local thread at the top of Active Convos, you either have a very active lot of MNers in your Local area or summat's gorn wrong.
