Fancy schmoozing at the Stella McCartney For Gap launch, Mon 2nd Nov, 5.30pm?

Hello, fashionistas.

Stella McCartney and Gap would like to invite 50 Mumsnetters (with or without their children) to attend the Stella McCartney for Gap launch on Monday 2nd November between 5.30pm and 7pm at the Gap Brompton Road store, Knightsbridge, London.

Here's what the guys at Gap say: "As you may know, Gap will be debuting the first ever collection of Stella McCartney for GapKids and babyGap. Launching in stores on 3rd November 2009, Stella McCartney has created a collection for boys and girls from 0-6 months to 12 years. The collection features her signature touches ? a soft colour palette, familiar silhouettes and her unique mix of unexpected pieces, creating looks that stay true to Stella?s unique vision, reinterpreted with GapKids? playful, child-like charm, keeping fun and practicality at the forefront of the design intent."

Stella herself has specifically suggested that Mumsnet members are invited to the preview event, as she is a fan of the site!

Guests will enjoy a tea party and children will be able to take part in a range of craft activities incorporating motifs from the campaign and will also receive a branded gift bag and balloon at the end of the event.

There is disabled access to the store. Baby changing facilities will be available.

If you'd like to come, please fill in this form.

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So, if you haven't heard by 1 November, we're sorry but you haven't been selected.

I'm wearing a very plain dark purple dress from GAP and black knee length boots. And beads and stuff. Best I can manage. Hair will look a state but I'll try my best with it.

Then just select the prettier children to go out and schmooze! While we all hide in the corner comparing eye bags, stretch marks and saggy areas

I have no decent clothes and am newly pregnant and bloated in the stomach area so none of my normal trousers fit. So rest assured, whatever you are wearing you will look better than I do!!

Probably wearing either jeans or a denim smock dress thing and leggings/boots. Will try to remember to put earrings on and do makeup but may well fail as suffering from severe pregnancy brain.

I think you put all of the children on the form? I only have 2 though so don't know.

I am going to bring someone to help me on the tube and they're going to go and swan around harrods while I look nervous in a corner schmooze.

As for clothes - I haven't got any decent ones as I was waiting til I shink a bit more - baby is only 4mo. So I will be looking a fright in a corner

I'm going but can't remember which children of my 4 i volunteered. defo the baby but not sure which other...how do i find out? or shall i just take them all?

If i did that i'd have to have another adult and it seems that despite the email that might not be possible afterall?

anyone else going into kings cross?

I can't go after all. So I have contacted MN to let them know to pass my place on to whoever is top of the reserve list or next out of the hat or however they decide.

So did you email her back and say you're bringing DH or are you just going to turn up with him?

Just when she resent it to me (doh!) she said "So whichever names you RSVP'd with to Mumsnet are your guest allocation for the night" and on the invite it says you can bring one guest who you have to specify.

I think I will just bring anotehr person as I need someone to help me with the pushchair on the tube!

Yes on the invite it asks you to name another(only one) guest that you'd like to bring...dcs are already on as it asked on the form, I think.

Phew well I got my email!

Are we allowed to bring another adult then posie? DH is keen and I'm nervous about handling the kids by myself on the tube etc

Oh I got an invitation to this but you know what, getting to south west Central London with a 1 and 3yr old in rush hour..?!!

I'll be with four children and a starstruck DH, we will stand out a mile. My dcs are ds1, 7, ds2 6, dd1, 3, and baby will be one year the following day...do you think they will change the launch to his party???
