kept your outraged and offended fingers away from the complaint button, all this silly sweary name shenanigans would have been tomorrows chip-paper by now.........

As it is, there is now going to be ream after ream of this daft arguing about fuck-all

it could rival Moldie-Gate you know, and that is not a ^good6 thing

and until this evening, I have only ever had one poster express concern about my name

not sure how long I have used this name, but it is at least a year

and that was followed by a barrage of people who said they liked it, it made them smile and not to change

Not everything in life is a for a "cause"

I namechanged to this temporarily for a specific reason, then there was a spate of seasonal namechanges around Bommy night/Xmas/Easter etc

Then because I have no life am quite a prolific poster, I developed a persona so didn't change back

So, no real rhyme or reason to it, certainly not deliberate, nor attention-seeking, nor a crusade

But what I am now deliberate on now (after this evening), is that I will defend my right not to be censored

We have a shop called Set in our town centre..has the best birthday cards and mugs I've ever seen...not for the more fainthearted mn posters tho

for what it is worth - I am not offended by any name, or any name that has rude connotations.

There have been many more offensive posters, with very ordinary names.

Shall we not even mention googling dragons?

Anyfucker i disagree , i think people had batted an eyelid. When mama12 originally posted asking why she had chosen that name other people recognised it and said they found it offensive so presume they must have noted it during other threads ?

Oh dear.

I like this name. The inspiration was some wrapping paper on a present from a friend who knows me (and my slightly stroppy, occasionally foot stamping, tendencies) very well.

I wanted it as my MN name when I first joined a couple of years ago and registered it back then, but never used it as I thought it was A Bit Much. I ended up with a 'mama' name instead. I just got this name back out of the cupboard after the whole DM thing.

I'm still not sure whether to keep it now or not. To me its a bit of a self-deprecating joke, but if its offending or alienating the majority of posters then I'll change it.
