No-one, other than anyfucker, has even remotely proposed banning swearing on MN. Does everyone understand that? there is no thin end of the wedge, any more than the 'no personal attacks' guideline is an attack on your right to attack personally.

all MNHQ has done is reminded everyone of a pre-existing guideline and and encouraged people who have swearing in their names to maybe change a consonant or two. and cuntwhacker was a fucking awful name in any case.

I honestly don't understand why some people need swear words, actually. Why use profanities when there are such perfectly good alternatives such as 'blimey o'reilly!'; 'good giffords!'; 'gosh me oh my days!'; 'bunting beans!' and 'jolly roger!'?
