I haven't been posting much lately and I did miss the end of the Daily Mail debate.

So, I come back after some time away - and its all gone funny. I guess lots of people have namechanged ...

Or did Boldies actually happen?

Hi Bella27,

Apologies for the delayed response.

I'm afraid we have no record of a registration at all from the email address you send over to Catherine - which means you've or someone from you computer has deregistered your account. If we'd banned you, which we haven't!, we'd still have you on our system.

Are you sure you are registering with the email address you mailed us with? Will you send us an mail now (contactus@mumsnet) telling us your preferred nickname, password and email address and we can sort it out.

Flounced, asked for a dereg, MN presuaded me to commute sentence to ban then they were proved right as matter was resolved so I snuck back under a different id

I tried several times, over the course of several days, to rejoin.

Each time the registration page came back up again with an asterisk next to my email address, saying there was a problem with my registration. On another computer it worked straight away, no problem. I now understand about IP addresses - I didn't at first.

Perhaps tech can shed some light.

I've been banned from mumsnet and can tell you what it looks like

(I wasn't being punished, something else)

basically all you get is a title age with links; when you click the link it just goes round and round for ages then nothing happens or it comes up page not found.

Sounds like the other was a technical glitch, tbh

If you read my post Flamesparrow you'll see that Catherine did reply, asking who I was. Once I had told her, I didn't get any reply as to why I had been blocked.

I don't care about getting a reply, I only wanted to prove that I was blocked.

Reckon I've done that

Just want to say that if they had blocked you they wouldn't need to put something on your computer (and it's easy enough for you to remove cookies), they would be blocking your IP address, which is like digital signature saying which internet connection something comes from.

shiney I wasn't giving you incorrect information: I was blocked.

On 21 Aug 2009 I sent the following e mail to MNHQ:

'Please explain why I am blocked from rejoining mumsnet, and why any email address I use on my computer is blocked too?

Presumably you have a cookie installed in my computer - kindly remove it forthwith.'

I then must have received a reply from Catherine at MNHQ asking who I was, because I have sent another e mail later that day telling her I was Bella21.

I received no further replies from MNHQ.

I am only on here now because I rejoined on another computer.

Presumably Justine doesn't know about this, or it was just a technical hitch, but I have been telling the truth.

Au contraire KM - we've never once deleted an attack on MNHQ - even when what's been said is completely untrue - but we do delete personal attacks on members.
